Working with the residents was a wonderful experience! The majority of coworkers are compassionate and focused on the residents. Short-staffing certainly made this difficult for PSWs and others.
Management needs to realize that fostering an amicable relationship amongst employees would benefit everyone. 
The pay is pretty much equal to similar workplaces in the field.
If you are new, prepare for a college-like hazing. Some will support your training, others seem quite impatient.
Overall a nice place to work with good pay and the option of working additional hours.

Theirs is none worst nursing home I have ever worked at. I would advise people to never work there

Management sucks  they don’t know how to hire or get people trained for the right job

The work environment is stressful and Covid didn’t help we were always overworked and under payed

I never felt like I could enjoy my work day but did like my residents but hated how they were treated by PSWs

It pays the bills. Otherwise, worst nursing home I’ve ever worked in.

Poor staffing, dirty facility and bad management

Tense, exhausting and unrealistic expectations for registered staff 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful with low staffing levels. You struggle to complete day to day tasks and the Doctors are non-existent. Management is cruel and dismissive.

I have recently joined the nursing team at Trent Valley Lodge. The staff in all departments are friendly and welcoming. There is a clear understanding that they are here to provide holistic, compassionate care to the residents, and it shows! The managers seem to care about the staff, with a focus on how to make their job more efficient and effective. It has been a really good transition.

hardest part would be time management  as physiotherapy  session coincide with all other kind of activity such as bathing , recreational activity etc.
i enjoy being part of group and workplace feels like home with love and respect from residence as well as colleagues  

Awful experience, some of the coworkers were nice but a lot were rude and cliquey. Not enough training, coworkers were always complaining about new hires which didn't lead to a positive culture. Was often changed floors/position without notice. Only saw management when they would walk around to check rooms after breakfast. Always short staffed, always behind. Stressed me out to be there.

Working here was a great learning experience, I enjoyed helping the residents with their activities of daily living while making a career for myself. The hardest part of the job would have to be all the call ins each shift and also the wear and tear on your body,
The best part of the job was helping the elderly to perform tasks in a dignified and holistic way.

Don't understand how or why the management continues to undermine, disrespect and poorly treat thier staff.  Unwilling to help ot come up with initiatives, unwilling to provide ownership contact as they are afraid to start any dialog between staff and owners.  Just a terrible, terrible place to work.

Always short-staffed for every shift. Management seemed nonexistent, if you found an issue you were blamed for it. They completely rely on agency nurse staff.  Some floors are way over-taxing and too busy. If you ask for help you are made to look incompetent. 
Would not recommend working there; there is a risk to nurse's licence
