The work can be challenging but it is also very rewarding.  You really do get out, what you put into it.  If you are the curious type, who wants to learn about new aspects of the business, the company will support advanced training and education and give you the chance to run with it.    In many ways, once you learn how to navigate your position and the company, you really do have some input on how your career will develop.  The business has been around for many decades and has solid financial assets, and as such, job security is likely much higher than at other newer firms.

My experience with the Tri City Group has been with its real estate development ("RED") functions.  Working with it has enhanced my understanding of RED financing and the requirements imposed by municipal planning departments.  RED is an expensive business in which embarrassing and potentially costly mistakes cannot be tolerated.  It requires a punctilious attention to detail which can be stressful but very rewarding as one's experience and skill level is elevated with every project.  The hardest part of the job is organizing the interactions among lawyers, engineers, building contractors, municipal planning departments, etc.  Management is supportive and affords ample recognition of good work.

The work is dynamic and the workplace is collegial and friendly. Management is always willing to pay for education and skill development, and is always willing to take on bright and dedicated people who show initiative, and create spaces for them to flourish rather than fit them into a box. TCG is recommended for anyone looking for a secure and permanent job and works to create a stable environment rather than buy into the job-hopping culture. 

I enjoyed working with this group each day for the past 10 years. All fellow workers are friendly, and the job is easy but busy. The manager is always there to help, and the owner cares about our well being, not only ourselves, but also care about our family. Good company to work for with fair pays and sick holidays.

I worked for TCG over 20 years. During this time I got to know many of the long term employees very well.  In my opinion at times their work would be very challenging but also very interesting and there were always good prospects for advancement.

Excellent people to work with, you can have a great career at Tri City Group. Everyone is very helpful and the owner is super nice. They're a humble-hearted group of folks and really care about their investors and borrowers.

This is the most terrible place I have ever worked. As some one who has worked in securities for 20 years, RUN. The staff turns over quicker then toilet paper.
