Wanting to be and remain #1 in any industry is highly demanding and rewarding.  And it is what I experienced @ Trimble.  While the week was never finished and demanded an incredible amount of energy of all participants in the Infrastructure Division which I managed, the reward of knowing we were world's best year after year was huge and one we would not want to sacrifice.  I feel privileged now - as I did throughout my 10+ years  as the GM - to be given that challenge to develop an emerging technology as a pioneering business - not to mention an extremely lucrative business model!

All software companies have challenges and there is always more to do than can be done quickly. Trimble was able to get the best out of everyone by being ambitious and visionary but also pragmatic and realistic. Management had a good strategic vision and actively created an environment of diversity, respect and support. They expected a lot from everyone but provided the tools, technology and as much time as possible to make things happen. I enjoyed the people I worked with, respected management and appreciated the helpful, motivated and motivating culture.

These guys will leave your application hanging after the in-person interview. They even asked you to bother your job references and by completing the survey. It's a good decision that I did not asked my current boss to complete the survey. Don't waste your time on this unresponsive employer.

Good people and interesting work, with opportunities to learn and grow.

However, increasing workload and reduced work-life balance made the role difficult to sustain long term, and burnout became a concern. There also seemed to be some drift from core cultural values.

- Team members don’t play as team. They have been with the company for a long time and don’t accept other people who have more knowledge than they do. That isn’t valid to managers.
- Your work is recognized but not rewarded.

Great people, great benefits and not micromanaged. Relaxed and professional atmosphere that promotes creativity and taking pride in your work. Great HR department with on-boarding process. 

many many many politic, you need good supporter to work there, a little. you learn a lot, well managed company, some managers cutting corners
