I was really excited to start there but I was already wanting to quit by the end of the first week. The training was horrible. They would show you something once or twice and expect you to be an expert. They would tell you they are there to help you, but when you asked for help, they would either not know the answer themselves, or be surprised you don't know the answer yourself. I cried more there than I ever did in all my previous jobs combined. I went from happy and excited to miserable and depressed in little more than a week. The management team consists of a bunch of dude bros, who rarely have the answers to any question you have. They treat the sales team like gold, and everyone else is just there to do the hard work for them after the sale is done. Not to mention the constant drama, backstabbing, gossip, and manipulation. I've never rated a job before, but I felt an overwhelming urge to share my story of my terrible experience at Abbotsford Chrysler. My hope is they will read this and do something to change their training practices and expectations of new staff, as well as try to make the atmosphere enjoyable for staff, not just customers visiting "the fun store", so the next person to join their team doesn't go through the same thing.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working at the Trotman auto group as a team player and providing exceptional customer service to are customers on a day to day basis .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
As a shuttle driver dealing with the traffic and towards the end of the day trying to bring back all our customers that need rides before closing time .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very high paced like a family. We all try to get along as a team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As a shuttle driver, the mornings are quite busy dropping off and picking up customers from previous days always on the go kind of like a courier service picking up and dropping off parts for service department and gets quite busy by the end of the day. Good thing we have two drivers on the weekdays and the Pudo pick up and delivery service for customers vehicles all in all, we provide a good service for Langley chrysler .

Probably the best team of people I have ever worked with. Management is super kind and helpful, they're really caring and patient with us (funny as well!!) and they truly actively live out the company values. They find ways to motivate us and challenge us in the best way possible. 

The best part of the job is the group of people I get to work with. Though I work in the service department, there are many departments here and everyone is so friendly - it's a big group of people you get to interact with so that's super fun. 

The hardest part of the job is probably dealing with customers (with any customer facing roles, it can sometimes be difficult but also rewarding at the same time), but the management/company has your back and will support you which is great. You have a great group of people who supports you and helps you out so you're never alone! 

I've had many different jobs, in different industries, and gone through many different companies, and by far this is the best one! :) 

I've had the pleasure of being part of TAG since 2016, and my journey here has been incredibly rewarding. Being given the opportunity to work in different roles in the group has shown me the company's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering leadership.

A typical day at work is coming in with a plan for the day, beginning to execute that plan and then having it go off in its own direction....and being okay with that. Never a dull moment, 2 days never the same. Being in customer services teaches you so many valuable things as we have the advantage of having been on both sides of the fence - Customer and Customer Service. We are blessed with management that care and respect you for who you are as a person, and what you have to contribute to the Team. I would have to say the hardest part of my job is when you do not succeed in meeting the customer's expectations - thank God it does not happen often! The most enjoyable part of my job is all of my job!

As a neurodivergent individual, our well-crafted processes and operational structure allow me to function at a higher level and utilize my strengths to their fullest. 

I began my career with Trotman Auto Group, and it’s hard to believe how far it’s taken me! When I first joined the group, nearly ten years ago, I was coming into auto sales as a complete novice. The management team saw the effort I put forth each day and rewarded me with training and opportunities that allowed me to develop and grow. I’ve worked for multiple brands within the group, through good times, and Covid, and I can honestly say that it’s one of the few organizations I’ve been a part of that truly come together to find ways of overcoming adversity, from the very top down. I don’t believe I could’ve had the same career growth and experience as I have with any other auto group. 

I've been on board for just under 2 months and have been pleasantly surprised. Everyone is friendly, respectful, helpful, and patient. They have realistic expectations for new employees and acknowledge when you exceed them. ( Positive feedback is, in my opinion, an important part of good management.)

I've worked at other dealerships before and certain aspects of these other dealerships made me uncomfortable. But at TAG, specifically Abbotsford Mazda, I've been very comfortable with how everything is handled. There's an outpouring of Respect for the staff from management and what feels like a genuine desire to help the customer. 

I love every day at this job. Not a single day is ever the same and it's always fun and exciting. It's easy to want to come to work and contribute to the bigger vision that management has. Working for an organization with integrity and principles was my top priority and I feel like the trust is mutual between me and the employers. I was even offered a better paying position since they acknowledge the committed players, and was celebrated even though I decided to stay in my current role. Happy to have found this company. Cheers to many more years helping people find their perfect vehicle.
