Let me begin by saying that I've had the privilege of working here for over 20 years. If I didn’t truly enjoy the atmosphere and the work itself, I wouldn’t still be here. Over the years, this company has been shaped by strong leadership and an exceptional team of employees.

As a designer, I’ve always been encouraged to explore creative boundaries and think outside the box. Management has consistently shown genuine interest and enthusiasm for the innovative ideas we bring to the table.

In my role as a Manager, I’ve been trusted with the autonomy to build and lead my team in a way that aligns with True North’s vision for success. That level of trust has been both empowering and motivating.

There’s always been ample opportunity for growth within the organization for those willing to invest the time and effort. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, the support system here ensures you have the tools and guidance needed to thrive.

If you ask to be paid fairly for your experience you'd better keep looking, because they only do the minimum. You're forced to take a week unpaid at Christmas or forced to take a week vacation and they do the minimum in terms of stat holidays. Management are selfish and only care about making more money for themselves. They avoid conflict rather than face it to resolve it, and don't care for advice from experience until it was their own idea.

Very demanding place to work. There's approximately 50 people in the office and only 10 in the factory. No empathy from upper management and very little pay with no increases to incentivize. One of the worst places I've ever worked!

This is a family owned business which creates great difficulty in the management structure.  They have gone through many employees in the past 20 years. The ones that remain are unhappy and just focused on retirement.
The product is very good - new ownership is needed.

This is a horrible company to work for. 

The only worry about amangers and front line, production or warehouse staff are treated very poorly. 

Very low pay

You work 10 hour days 4 day a week but you only get paid for lesa than 8 for a stat holiday. 

They know how to cheat their employees 

Had a great experience working with the true north team learned a lot about log home construction and increased my sales ability. Excellent quality of product. Would still be working there if we did not have to move.

They change your job description often and the office manager yells from her office all the time.  Very stressful place to work.

You don't get to leave for lunch you basically have to eat at your desk.

Never had concerns with management. Will was excellent for a manager. Family is hard working and definitely expects the same so I can see this would put some people off if your used to a corporate environment.

Organized and well thought out facility

safety was a primary concern

worked at true north log homes as a carpenter. I was able to fine tune  my craft working with hard working people. I had great bosses that managed us well.
