I have  different schedule  on the Monthly  Calendar  for families,
such as Parent & Child drop in ,ASQ ,speech ,what is required in  my job description .

I have learned  to  be sensitive to  different  situation and  never give up when the Job gets  tough ,

The management  is somewhat difficult  because of   building space  and the  Health director  does not live in community .

Since I started AIDP I had  a lot of  co workers  quit or moved on  
better  education or  different  opportunities .

The hardest part of the Job  is  lack of understanding of the  program lack of  support  from community  and Leadership .

The most  enjoyable  part of the Job  watching the babies  grow  and Learn  and to see them  enter the School system make  me proud  to have been  part  of  their Development stages  .

This place is full of nepotism and lack of room for growth. They bring people in and spit them out just as fast. There is constant turnover and they will never prioritize their employees. If you would like to be mentally destroyed then this is the job for you. You are not allowed to have your own thoughts and opinions and you will be constantly controlled and micromanaged via your supervisors. It is not uncommon to be understaffed and see a 100% turnover. You will be expected to respond to emails, texts, phone calls at all hours. All staff are stressed and unhappy due to working conditions.  
The leadership is making terrible choices for those they put in charge and I honestly feel bad for the community. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great team of people! Collaboration, teamwork 
Fun events - good holidays. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not very stressful, if your qualified for the position and know basic  computer operating systems. 
For those less qualified it may be a bit hard for them to keep up with the fast paced environment, due to lack of skills. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Supportive, coffee break, staff birthday recognition. Opportunity for staff events to get to know each other. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on what your role is within the company. 
8:30-4:30 weekdays 
Can be picking up supplies to all day meetings.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Family oriented, good pay, travel, training opportunities, kind and friendly

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes because lots of family members and band members work together, it can be stressful, but just mind your own business and do your job and you should be fine.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Can be tense at times, but usually fun and lighthearted


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work in the office 830-430 and travel to stay keh once every 3 weeks

This place is great… if you love having PTSD and Nepotism. It is a very heavy workload and emotional toll on your well-being. To them you are just a number and if you say anything against their belief you will be on the chopping block. They do not have concern about their employees. They have a huge turnover rate and most of it is people quit due to an unsafe work environment or getting fired without cause (because you disagreed with something). I have seen so many wonderful hard working people get destroyed from this job. 

Amazing community members to work with. I really enjoyed working in the social development department. My manager was very supportive,  made me feel valued and appreciated.  Unfortunately, the travel was hard on my family and the job didn't fit with my family dynamic. 

Great benefits, pay and other perks such as additional funds for travel. 
Great variety and you definitely wont be bored. Fast paced environment which worked for me and kept me busy. 

A con would be that sometimes it could be a struggle to understand what was wanted from leadership. Lots of mixed signals and confusion. 

Taught me how to navigate the world, it broke down the grey line that exists in our world, the boundaries required to work for vulnerable people. The toughest balance is mitigating intergenerational trauma, at first was hurt by the process of leaving , but found peace after acknowledging the lessons that assisted me with Law school applications, utilizing the hard work ethic learned from my experiences 

I have had a great experience working in Tsay Keh Dene. It is located in  beautiful and remote Northern, BC.  They offered an excellent hiring package with great benefits. The community is fairly isolated which can present challenges and leads to difficult work/life balance. The school is old but some areas have been recently upgraded. Teacher accommodations are in good shape and are fully furnished and free. The best part is getting to know the community members and students. 

Tsay key has beautiful scenery and overall community members were great but the management in Prince George is unfit to manage/lead - including but not limited to finance and HR managers. 

Very grateful to the Chief and Director of Health and Wellness for their support and guidance. These people truly care about the community and are dedicated and committed to the work they do.
