Tundra will lure you in with their "culture" ie. drinking, and fun, but you may be underpaid, undervalued, taken for granted and given no recognition. I work hard, and I like some Tundra, but my supervisor does nothing to make me feel important, wanted, or part of a team. I have never once been thanked. Never given a raise in years either.  When I brought all of this up in a review to ask for help, no one listened, instead I was attacked, insulted and belittled. I had never been treated as such by an employer before in my life. It was shocking because I know I do a great job and work hard. This really happened to me. Maybe I'm an individual that just "slipped through the cracks"? I'm not so sure, I think there are others.  Still there could be some who might be having a great experience at Tundra, but my experience is very real and very concerning. You may also want to know that they permanently lay people off and do pay cuts despite claiming record years for profits and success. Finally, it's concerning that some of the managers and supervisors are selfish, entitled, arrogant and misogynistic. Watch out for the wolves in sheep clothing. My advice is be cautious.

This company is over the top demanding of employees personal time that is very valuable in the balance of work and family life. The Executive Staff focuses too much on social networking & feels that staff should focus their entire existence on spending your valuable free time with co-workers. This company does not understand the value of privacy & social commitments that do not revolve around themselves. This is a new company that is just starting to understand what normal business practices should encompass. The Administration department does not actually incorporate supportive resolutions for day to day business tasks such as reception duties without passing the buck onto to other unsuspecting departments. Too young, with no valuable life experience! too bad, hope it changes for the better! Although it is courageous for the shareholders whom are also office workers to invest in this company they would be much better off if they left their egos at the door!

The workplace is super toxic, there are few people ( Senior managers 😄)who make all the decisions and they all are very cheap and small minded, they make the decisions based on their best interests, and no matter what will happen to the company or other people, non of them are loyal to the company. The only thing they want is to be retired with more money and perks.
Employees don’t have any right to speak out or give any feedback, any!?
Salary is very low and all the promises are fake and false, if you want to kill your motivation and be exposed to a super negative environment, here is your answer, don’t search anymore.
Don’t be fooled by the names, titles and fake news:
Best managed company, wow service, being in the business for 20 years, giving back to the community, …
These all are for social media, LinkedIn,… you wont see them in reality.

It’s a good place to be. Everyone seems to truly care about everyone else, and the senior management team is doing well at listening to feedback from teams like ours. The pay is on par with others, the culture is better than at other places, and the company is willing to invest in learning at all levels and that is appreciated. Being a part of a bigger company now, it also looks like there’s more room to grow and expand career wise. And I like that it really is open door when we need to talk to more senior leaders. There’s no ego, which is a big difference compared to other places. Company recently put a pension plan in place which is nice too. It’s something that was talked about for a while and it actually happened. So good on them for following through. 

Direct upper management micro managed to a point that made it difficult to work there. Boss was rude and a bully that just saw numbers, and did not care for those below him at all. Direct supervisor did not get involved, did not train and let upper management walk all over supervisor.
The work place was essentially a great place, good people but due to the direct management, that ruined it for a great place to work.

very aggressive company to work for. They treat their employees very well and have some great guys to work with. It is a high stress job with very long hours and a great deal of travel but you do get rewarded for it, work hard play hard mentality

Tundra was a great place to work, although not a clear direction at the time.  They have a great culture built from the top down.  They looked to create a good work / life balance and looked to provide solutions in the Oil and Gas sector where ever they could manage to get a foot in the door.

management is a disaster. lack of direction and if you work outside of calgary dont expect to get much direction. Company seems busy but once inside mismanagement and lack of direction becomes apparent. Best like to drink as company is very focused around alcohol involved "business outings".

Being a female in this work place is not ideal.  There is not much room to grow and women at Tundra are rarely put in management type positions. They care if you leave work to go home to your families but if you stay and drink in their lounge they are happy and you are in the club. 

i was expected to take clients out to "lunch" and have a few drinks with them. All social activities with the company had drinking at the core. I dont drink and felt like an outsider the entire time I was there.
