The company structure is excellent, and Turner truly stands out for its strong commitment to diversity; it’s not just a checkbox, it’s part of the culture. Being an American company, Turner places a high emphasis on safety, with strict regulations that everyone must follow, which made me feel both secure and responsible on-site.

The role itself comes with a great deal of autonomy. I genuinely felt like I owned the site! The team dynamic is strong; people understand and support each other well, and the regular team events create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Honestly, it feels like a luxury to work in such an environment. I don't have anything negative to say.  I haven’t found a reason to complain yet.

I enjoyed working for Turner construction. They were very professional and organized and the project went smoothly. Overall a great experience. I found working for Turner to be a great opportunity to work for a very safety conscious company that worked hard to get the job done on time and on budget. I would definitely work for them again.

I like the friendly culture but it was short span of voluntary work and hence unable to comment in detail but I learned more about their projects and visited the TelUs site to understand how Turner Construction works.

The hardest part of the job is being a first time construction labourer it can be very stressful when you just started like for example knowing the tools name and getting things done on time 

Open-concept office with everyone, no matter how small a role, is encouraged to understand every step of the business. Fast-paced with many opportunities to prove ones' value within the team.

People and culture are amazing! Lot of information to learn, coworkers are supporting you along the co-op process. Tons of activities to connect with BU people.
Management is busy so it's something difficult to learn from them.
But in overall amazing company.

Able to work on commissioning issues, Solved Commissioning safety issues. Team work is excellent. Once transition from Construction to Operational was completed Project Management moved to another project

Pros
Office DT, very close to Skytrain station. Very progressive, supportive and collaborative environment! Mostly great people to work with.

Cons
Too many procedures, pay & bonus are a bit lower and increases/promotions are slow.

 

Great company to work for. Lots of young motivated people doing good work and plenty of great social events.

Management listens to employee concerns and there is always an open ear to improvement

Construction is supposed to be rough and not a pg14 environment however turner undercuts salaries and has a horrible cooperation environment I wouldn’t recommend
