Turning Leaf

Turning Leaf was a fun place to work, it consisted of taking clients to their volunteer jobs, teaching them about health and nutrition. Even with the minimal paper work to be done daily and monthly, it was a good place to work.

Turning Leaf Community Support Services was an amazing place to work and I loved every minute of it! I expected to stay there until I retired, however, after the last elections funding was cut for mental health services and my job was the first to get cut. 

I can't recommend Turning Leaf enough as an employer. They're all wonderful people and management is amazing.

I can work day or night, flexible time. I learned to deal with different people with different attitude. How to managed different behaviour. In work, it should have a good team work and communication to achieve the goal of care. There are no hard part of job if you like and enjoy it. The most enjoyable part of job are to be part of care of individual and thru end of life.

I would not recommend working with this company. They management team does not care about their staff, they have zero work life balance and expect you to put their job before your home life. It is a very stressful job and the management team does not care if you get burnt out, and with how they work you there you will get burnt out. Do not recommend this job position, especially if you have children.

This job is very rewarding as you actively get to help in peoples lives. It can be draining as it can be a very emotional occupation, however the highlights make it all worth it. Turning Leaf is a very passionate non-profit organization that believes in the participants who have chosen to work with them.

I have worked at Turning Leaf for just over 3 years, I started in the day program and after a year and half transferred into community support, after just under 2 yes in this position I was promoted to team lead. 

Turning Leaf Support Services has provided me with many valuable skills, and has been a place for great personal growth. However, I am ready to gain a new set of skills.

Excellent place to work, great culture. Passion comes down from the top and is transferred through all levels of management. Great communication with management that are very supported of staff. Appreciated for the hard work that you do.

They hide issues and problems from the public to preserve their image. 
Toxic work culture, people with limited experience are allowed to advance because they’re friends with management. 
People who work hard are taken advantage of. 
They gaslight people who speak up about issues. 

Great team to work with. Staff and management are amazing and very friendly. Work environment is safe and friendly. Interactions between staff and residents daily.
