The campus environment is vibrant, and there are many opportunities for professional growth and learning. However, the bureaucracy can sometimes be slow, and the workload can feel overwhelming during peak academic seasons. As a Student Library Assistant, my primary responsibilities included assisting patrons with their research needs, shelving and organizing books, helping with circulation tasks, and providing general support to library staff. I found these tasks to be engaging and intellectually stimulating, allowing me to develop a wide range of skills while contributing to the smooth functioning of the library.


I loved working at UofT as a research  assistant! There is a lot of flexibility and lots of opportunities to learn. I worked specifically in the faculty of Arts and Science, but there is no denying that UofT is excellent at research in every field, but it can be quite difficult, as they also demand excellence from you! overall, a very rewarding experience.

It was very nice working at U of T's Rooftop Garden where there was a lot of exposure to nature. This job provided lots of opportunities to do outreach, field work and learn new things about running pilot projects.

Although it was only a co-op placement at U of T, it was amazing going all around campus. I was assigned different tasks in and out of campus, while still getting time to get the full downtown experience.

I worked here while as a student. I taught and contributed to science education programming. It’s great when you’re working with young and eager people, but less fun when working with lifers. They’ve already checked out.
