Most enjoyable part of the job was the interaction with members.The hardest part was dealing with two departments each with their own float to balance and account for.I learned about the trades and the workings of a Trade Union.Management has different rules for different employees and generally has no understanding of the work the employees actually perform. The co-workers were easy to get along with and the area I worked in (dispatch) was enjoyable and fun.I performed my duties at two different desks, dealing with data entry and managing members who came in person to pay dues, update job status, ask questions, I also assisted business agents and organizers

Filing, Faxing making books, answering phones... learned a lot about unions and how they work. Management was ok, co workers were alright, hardest part of the job was, well I really am not to sure about that one. the most enjoyable was meeting the members as they came in

receive jobs from maintenace foreman check and repair production-line core machine or building services including melt furnaces.trades are sent as an group so we learn each other trade as a helping hand.Keeping production running is the most enjoyable part of my work.

UA standards and safety requirements make the environment great. This is a very good place to work, with many training opportunities as well as a variety of work tasks.

was good when it was a union but since it became all about dues money and increasing membership not so much . safety culture is good.to many workers not enough tradesmen.

Even if another job is acquired it would still be possible to continue on working here as well.
Everyone at this location is friendly and fun to talk to and work around.

learned all kinds of fabricating and quality control issues.  familiarized myself with ASME Section VIII and B31.3.  All the co-workers were easy to get along with and worked well as a team

Be ready for time off. Love the work and contractors but rarely get to stay on with any one company beyond a single project. The training and benefits are bar none.

Good benefits and wage, allows for easy movement between jobs. Work fluctuates often, consistency is difficult to achieve unless in boom periods. Recommend for people who want change available.
