I worked at UAP for over three years in the distribution center and it was the worst experience of my working life. 

They will run your body into the ground to meet their numbers. 
The management has only gotten worse over the years and are uncaring about the injuries that regularly occur. Employees have been told that they will have to quote: "suck it up, or quit," in regards to these injuries.

You'll essentially be forced into performing unsafe work due to understaffing, and they won't hire more people because they'll claim they actually have too many... those ones are out with injuries as well for a similar reason. 

The wearhouse gets 40+ degrees in the summer and you'll have to suck that up too. 

Everyone's miserable and hates everything. 
Stay away.

Decent pay and benefits. HR seems to be the only department that wants things to go the right way.
No written procedures at all, no onboarding process, you are on your own. Welcome to a world where inefficiencies and duplications are considered as normalities. Your sense of achievement will be challenged since clerical work will take all of your time leaving little to plan or strategize.   
You will have to work with 100s of old tools introduced over the years to patch many outdated ones that will never be terminated. Simple ideas to make it better will get ignored by old school people who are just not aware of how the outside world works in the 21st century.


My typical day at UAP is picking truck and auto parts using parts picker machine, the reach machine and the counter balance forklift.     
 
I have learned how to deal with customers picking their orders, in a way that I have shown my respect to them and talk to them politely because its the main course of the business.  They help the company go stronger by patronizing our products.

The management have very good to me.  They give thier fair share of the profits they are making quarterly.  Our wages is very competitive campared to other campanies of the same business.

The workplace is very conducive to working with a very clean warehouse and well stock products.

The job is physically demanding.

I enjoy so much working with my co-employees because they are friendly and we help each other whenever it is required.

As a six year employee of UAP/NAPA I must say that the people that I worked with were great. The management on the other hand was something to be desired. The so called operations manager whom thought he knew everything that happened in the warehouse really didn't have a clue, as for the warehouse manager he was very discriminatory espeacilly toward women, then the favourtism. If you were not male you can forget about ever getting ahead, if anything you wind up going backwards. Then come the lies from management with promises of this and that and delivering nothing, then when confronted with it they back paddle and deny everything to save their own bacon. If anyone was expecting a warm and fuzzy review sorry to dissapoint, I tell it like it is

They love to play favorites. I was layed off because of covid 19.. given a temporary lay off sheet. Stating to be rehired when everything opens back up. When instead they just hired new drivers. New counter people etc. Didn't even contact us to let us know. Had to find out through indeed... by seeing my job posted... made me work after hours bymyself in bad areas to deliver parts to steel bins.. one driver was shot at by a paintball gun.. they owe me over 30 overtime hours.. which they refuse to pay because Napa policy states they don't pay overtime... they will force you to work overtime but never pay you for it...  honestly  you can tell no one in tmanagement has ever actually worked in a automotive shop before...

The way that the director and the team lead are with the employees is stressful no respect 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic environment and they will judge you.  No respect for immigrants 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You are like a firefighter you are always fixing problems that were predictable but the manager never listen

Because the schedule is fix and doesn't move, it's pretty easy to organize life after work. 

The management team also makes sure that employees are well treated and feel comfortable. That's why we have a one hour lunch.

There are many activities that are organized by the company or by the employees of the company. It helps build strong bonds between employees of different team.

The environment is friendly and welcoming, as all places that we work at there are difficulties but over all the company looks to correct them and to guide and help us through the problems.
Friendly staff and possibility to move up in the company as long as you put yourself in the mind set to do so.
The day to day is different and refreshing in the fact that no day is like another.
The company has many programs to assist employees and great health insurance plans for yourself or family.
Highly recommend.

The seniority of some team member speaks volume about this company! It is frequent to meet people who have been here for decades!  Not something we see often these days. I highly recommend UAP as a great place to work. Anyone can make a difference and contribute to significant projects if they wish. I feel that this company cares about the people and has a clear vision about their future.

Liked it at first. Things changed very quickly and it became a difficult place to work in short order. Way to much micro managing. Management are a little too controlling.  In general the non-management people here are so good to work with. The best part of the job is calling on the stores. The hardest part of the job is staying on top of all of the reports that are needed every week. Long hours as a result.
