For the amount of work asked of you, the company as a whole really undervalues its hard-working employees. Some management is absolutely clueless while others are incredible.

Spent nearly 2 years pouring my all into rebuilding a new store, and all it took to get rid of me was one small incident and a new employee looking to steal my job. Nobody had my back in the situation, not even the higher-ups whom i had developed an incredible relationship with. From a leadership standpoint, there are many who challenge and push you to become a better worker and person but others make hasty decisions that will negatively effect the company for years to come.

The workload can be heavy, but collaboration and support of your teammates makes it manageable

Meetings with necessary, supporting emails and the co-op membership

There is a lot more options of store positions, but like any store people (mainly farmers) come in browse and buy somethings or pay for large orders to be shipped to the property. There is a yard, where outdoor building supplies, propane/gases and chemicals/fertilizers are kept. UFA have their own set of workers who deal with those products that escort you around those products, send you in to pay and then load your vehicles for you.

It's a decent work culture depending on your location.  My location was great, and had a good manager, which can make or break the location.  The pay scale (unless you work at corporate) is below average, even for retail.  You could go and work at McDonalds for same pay, have better benefits and have a tenth of the job responsibilities.  But the customers are great and most of the employees are great.  I was fortunate to have a great supervisor. 

As a whole the UFA I worked at was quite enjoyable. Our manager strove to provide our customers with the product they asked for and if we didn't carry it he would see if he could order it from another location. As for my coworkers we got along very well and got our work done as we needed to. My only "complaint" while working there was having a small staff for the yard which required us to work consistently and caused problems if anyone of us was sick or on vacation.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Merchandising, planning, customer service

No support from management. Over worked, there motto is work life balance but that is only for select individuals the rest have very dysfunctional work schedules. They do forced overtime out and if you don not work it they will tell you your under performing.

It's a great work environment, everyone gets a long well and is easy to get along with. 
If you have a good work ethic and are willing to learn and grow they will work with you.

The overall communication in the company is poorly done. Night shift does not find out what's being changed at last moment. And you get paid the same as day shift if you work to work night shift. Midshift get the night premium even though they're midshift

Monitoring AS400 jobs. Writing sales queries based on past years. Mounting cartridges for backups and restores. Phoning gas station operators for missed sales numbers for the month.
