While they often claim to prioritize customer service, the company neglects its employees. The high deductions for benefits are disproportionate to the salary. Management has clear conflicts of interest, deflecting blame onto employees rather than taking responsibility. They discourage taking sick days, and there are significant delays in receiving earned cash tips each month.
There aren't opportunities to grow in the company.


In this jobs I learn how to do many things like making sure that all inventory processes are completed, labelling goods that have arrived at the store, checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring that they are in perfect conditions, operate a cash register and bag groceries, answers telephone and directs & answers inquiries, serving and despatch customers and  I enjoy past time with my cooworkers and learn a lot of them.

This workplace is very toxic and the manager is very rude. To make matters worse, there was a lot favoritism and the people that the manager liked were only given tasks that were nice and easy. But the rest of us were given the tasks that nobody liked. Lots of passive aggressive insults are thrown around along with too much gossip. 
So no, I don't recommend working here.

In a typical day I perfome a lot of monetary transactions such as sales, money transfers. Also helping our customers to find products. Answering incoming phone calls and train new staff. The most enjoyable part of working here is the relation ships we develope with our co workers and customers

It’s fun to see Canadian and other cultures enjoining Latin American food, trying new products like Colombian or Venezuelan chocolates as well any kind of pepper. You can see how Canadian be proud to have a multicultural country.

The staff at Unimarket are friendly, kind and helpful. Great place to work at, but the only bad thing is the salary, other than that, it is one of the best jobs I've had and it is due to the owners, managers and all other staff.

Management treat like garbage the employees. There’s a toxic environment where preference is given to the people that get along with the supervisor; however I never had a problem with my paycheque.
