I've worked along side with drunks, bums with no homes who go to the shelter after asking for rides and people without drivers licences and broken cars. They are looking for apprenticeship after 6 months employment as a goal. 
They really do favour jokes over hard work. If you are following supervisor and holding his hand then you know every secret but if you keep your mouth shut, show up on time everyday and work harder than anyone else, nothing but learning and teaching everyone on site basically taking the supervisor job but they will never know because they arnt there and credit will always be divided and diminished. Everyone who works here smokes cigs and if you ain't smoking then you don't get 4 smoke breaks and continue to work while they smoke.

Working at Ultimate is great, some people may say otherwise but most
of those people have been known to be degenerates that lie to get the job and don’t know their A.$.$. from their mouths. Many great co-workers aside from the many less degenerates. Ultimately is a great company for honest people that don’t claim to know more then they really do. This company pays competitive wages based skills and experience. Some will argue that because they’re part of the bunch that lied in their interview to get the job and it shows in their daily task witch reflects their wages. It seems ultimate has changed their hiring process as they’re gaining more qualified personnel. A company can only be as good as its employees.

Management doesnt care about the employees and don’t care to train or pay a decent wage. Promise raises, promotions, training and will not deliver. Most of their work is in Toronto and out of town and they refuse to pay travel time. Be prepared to spend 4 hours a day in the truck without being paid! They don’t pay the employees consistently and when you call accounting to have it resolved they usually ignore you for months. They offer promotions to string you along and only offer raises and promotions again once you decide to quit. Don’t waste your time with this place and most of the positive reviews on Indeed are members of their own family.

If you are a labourer then you are just labour, 9 hour days no more no less depending on the crew you are with. Family company with minimum room for growth. Any safety issues, the Safety Officers are fantastic. If you get the right supervisor and a small crew you just might learn to do more. Promise of wage increase every 3 months but I have yet to earn one after a year with NO personal time or sick time off work.

I was told I’d have shares , Benefits and a future in this company that turned out to be a joke  . The co-workers were mostly decent however I was assaulted by a super on the job and I reported it to HR and nothing happened . I was promised relocation to another job site but that never happened no one bothered return my calls after the incident was swept under the rug with alcoholic supervisor and useless Forman ! Safety is an issue with the equipment .

Owner was greedy but employees were good. Worked on the road alot and the pay wasn’t great but helps when there’s nothing around. Honest work and good crews but poor company management

It is a family run business that only care about their imediate family and not the employees. The job is a good job if you can keep to yourself and stay under the radar.

I enjoyed working for  ultimate . They paid well and treated me very respectfully  the manager  I was dealing with was a top notch person I say its a great place to work

Good to thier employees as well as a safe work environment both physically and mentally.  Great jobs to work on as well as various locations across Canada.

If you work for civil division. There’s two good supervisors rest are clowns who got there by being family/ Family friends. Over worked and underpaid.
