I worked for USS in 2022 for several months. It was a decent job to have in the short term, but due to my negative experiences with management, I did not have plans to stay longer.

Most of my time there involved providing access control, conflict mediation and enforcement of the Trespass To Property Act. 

Every shift was an interesting experience and taught me a lot about the nature of the industry as well as human nature. Every shift had me dealing with an incident of some sort with very little support from my superiors, unless they were on site. This was difficult at times, especially when I was at my post alone and had to deal with dangerous or unpredictable situations on my own.

The pay was proportional to the difficulty of the job, however. I was definitely paid fairly and given sufficient hours to offset the cost of living. My supervisors were excellent when they were able to provide support and give advice, but management was often absent and were quick to dismiss concerns and accuse myself and other guards of misconduct without first examining the evidence at hand.

All in all, I didn't mind working for USS. But my experiences with management and the lack of support at my site was enough for me to want to leave- despite the fair pay.

In the end, it's up to you. This was my experience, but your mileage may vary.

This company is very small. 
Communication with management and support is bad.
they don't absorb the information that you give them even in writing.
they don't acknowledge their mistakes and insists that the employee is wrong even with proof.
they don't train properly they criticize you and dock you without any form of communication in order to correct the problem.
they talk bad and make fun of employees in front of employees. 
there is no structure to this company its just based on making money.
their pay is minimum.
YOU still have to PAY for your uniform even IF YOU RETURN IT!!!

First let's start with their so called training and orientation. Nothing is properly explained or throughly answered. I was personally rushed through the process and was given misinformation.Second, your required to pay for a uniform that is used not brand new, and once returned your not refunded.  Third be very mindful your overtime isn't paid for until you work over 176 hours because they average your hours in a 4 week period. Never had a issue like this with any company for overtime pay but hey, they careless to make their employees work in unhealthy,  poorly run sites.  Take my advice and get out.

I have been working in their Mobile Dept. for 6 months now, I'd have to say its different from the rest of the Mobile companies I have worked for.  
Firstly their Mobile cars are great, not like the other companies that I have worked for, that are falling apart, and have to get it towed.
The managers understand you when you screw up and they take their time to explain things to you to help you.
Guards on sites are friendly and welcome you as a new employee.
All said and Done the company IS GREAT SO FAR.

Not like larger security companies where they look at you as a number, this company looks at you as part of their family. The management team and staff are awesome. Very friendly, very supportive every step of the way and most importantly, they respect and care about their employees.  It's about the people, the environment, the workplace, the positive energy is what makes this company the best company to work for. "The Ultimate Experience".

If you’re thinking of working here make sure it’s not long term company treats you with no respect at all and the HR and management is a joke. They illegally hold pay and try to force you to sign your rights away. Also even if the company is at fault of anything they will pin all the blame on you saying you’re negligent and ignore the fact of all the complaints you’ve had in your own reports.

Starting working as a guard and had a lot of training. I was able to advance up the chain from a guard to mobile. Good management and employer. Helped me progress and advance. Good people i had a chance to work with and their client were very nice.

HR and Management is not good at all. They are really rude.
They never acknowledge their mistakes.
Communication with management and support is really bad. I hope they will improve it.
They hold the pay unnecessarily and never accept their mistakes. If they made mistakes then also you are responsible.


depends on the site you get assigned. Ussually it's just making laps around the site and occasionally talking to people and asking them to leave. It's mostly chill but it does get hectic during robberies or when people come to cause trouble.

Stressful monitored alot poor working conditions too much patrolling constant calling dispatch no much management support only good for students  not enough
