I used to work here I’m gonna be honest, this place is a decently good fair paying job decent hours and great team to work with, there weren’t any cons to this place unless you’re not a friendly person. Everyone is friendly and hard working, but if you’re gonna be a weirdo and hate on upper management, cell leaders and supervisors this place is simply not for you. I’ve been sick and diagnosed with vertigo and they’ve helped me through it and even offered me to come back to work, other places will not. There will be people who make rumours about who n who got covid even though they didnt and stuff but ultimately it is up to you if you want to be bothered by it or not. This plant will teach you to mind your own business and do your work and don’t give too much personal information to others about yourself and vice versa don’t ask too much about them even if you’re just trying to build coworker bond. People are just people in the end of the day great place to work and they build a lot of kool stuff for cars. I haven’t returned yet because I’m still waiting for full production and hopefully I can avoid the people who’ve made rumours about me to quit or mess up on their own by their gossip. I’ve withdrawn hopefully I can get back with a shift that I don’t have to see those people l was trying to avoid. But yea overall very very very good clean place to work.

Working in this area is a joke. No proper training and most people don't want to learn. They think they know it all. Too many supervisors in that area and it's poorly run. They're quick to blame you when you weren't even trained properly. Ask you to work OT and if you don't you're black listed. Safety measures in the entire facility is non existent. One of the supervisors can't spell his own name and he is left to do your review. They don't see any good in you and the management just makes against each other. No unity whatsoever. Room for moving up, well that's a joke. There is much potential because of the nature of the business but they promote the wrong people, lack of training, it's simply backwards. HR is another problem as well. Turnover is over and over. Poor attendance from some employees and no consequences. Supervisors are sleeping with operators as well.

A strange place to work if you worked in the Toolroom. Here management were very slow to address any concerns. Team atmosphere was non existent. Apathy was rife. Also chance for promotion was practically non existent. Morale was low. Infact even with a 20 % pay rise i would not consider working there again!
If you are a toolmaker I would advise not to bother with Ultra, save your skills for somewhere you may get appreciation. You've been warned!! While I was there 6 machine tools were shipped from the shop & now the most prevalent construction is from the welding bay. If you enjoy tooling PM/s you may like it here. If you would like to use your tool-making skills dont bother coming here. The shop is poorly equipped to build tooling in any case.

Run away for this company if  you want to stay insane . As I see all the bad reviews were removed ,most likely my review will disappear. I was humiliated to the ground by my cell leaders and coworkers just because I did not fit in their culture. The management and HR did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. In fact I was witnessing how they fired very good, hard workers while keeping those who were friend with the cell leaders. They purposely create a very toxic environment in order to hire new workers for less money .My car was scratched, I was threatened with fist by my co worker, I was followed by them everywhere I went, even in the washroom, I was isolated from the others. When I started to have panic attach and suicidal thought I quit.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Ultra was a awesome place to work and you there is lots of room to advance.  Advancement comes with dedication and time commitment and being reliable. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When advancing you have to take a shift like nights as you are the lowest seniority of that position often times.

A awesome team based environment. A big family really

Very predictable and well organized in my department

Hired for days asked to work afternoons for a short period of time. after 8 months still on afternoons with no explanation or date to return to days as my contract clearly stated as hired for. 

Abusive , unprofessional liars do not even consider working there.

Was finally let (thank god) after my frustration boiled over. 

I was so happy to not have to work there :)

Oh ya was given a top rate estimate per hour as I took a pay cut to go there to work days and was given a great review no raise. Once again liars

The job can vary depending where you are placed. It can be so fast where you barely have time to sip some water between parts, or so slow you're falling asleep.

I was on night shift, where management was very relaxed and easy going. I worked in all areas of the plant as an operator and enjoyed every day I was there.

Due to covid and shortages, there were long periods where we had no work and weren't sure when we were going back, and then called back with little to no notice. Other than that, I had no complaints working there.

If you  want  your positive smile to  be nolonger just work here , your smile will be turned to a forever upside-down smile , they put in a show for a short time of being kind lambs , but don't let their fakeness fool you , it's a horrible place to work & the worst most toxic employment & employer I have ever worked  for, I highly  recommend that you run & get a better  job elsewhere.  

Fast paced, busy environment but the work is rewarding and the people who work there make it a unique and special place to be.  Management cares about their employees and goes above and beyond to ensure that they are engaged and taken care off.

No complaints, normal job. Some jobs are challenging but the majority are easy, some are too easy. Production workers stand all day (8 hours)
Material handler is a very stressful job but Shipping is awesome, they don’t bother you too much
