A typical day would be: clock in, get sent to a section, clock out. Most of the time, you have to figure out the promotions and check which section you're in yourself. 
Knowing Mandarin is a must otherwise you'll both get frustrated and may end in them yelling at you for not understanding them. Lots of extremely rude/entitled customers come through those doors, so unless you're very forward, patient and thick-skinned, pray that you don't get put on cash.
Management wasn't great. If you're efficient, management throws a ton of work at you which gets extremely overwhelming. You're essentially doing twice or three times the amount of work because a slower employee couldn't do his job properly. Scheduling the right amount of shifts is always an issue, understaffed on busy days and overstaffed on slow days. You don't get a 15 minute paid break (it's been on and off for the past year or 2) because apparently it was too hard for management to schedule, only an unpaid 30 minute if you work more than 5 hours.
As for opportunities to grow in the company, there are none. They barely ever promote anyone and preferred external hires.
The only reason why I liked working there was the coworkers. They were super fun to be around and made being there bearable.

Anyone outside of the store-level team did not care about your opinions or advice. It was their way or the highway; very much a dictatorship. I left because of this toxicity. If you don't respect the opinions and listen to the advice from your people that work at the ground level every single day, then your business will never flourish. Many wasted hours went into repeated and/or pointless projects. Those hours could have gone to stocking shelves, opening freight and customer service which would have ensured the continued growth of the business. Instead the higher-leveled leadership outside the store level chose to be stubborn and entitled, resulting in massive turnover and lose of great talent. Very unfortunate for a business that was originally going in the direction of a healthy and sustainable working environment.

-Being able to provide customer experience even when your not in the right mindset for it

-Get those good customer's share their experience or congratulate/praise your work 
-Enjoying some peace & quiet by the end of a busy hour 

Benefits: Compared to other retail store benefits, Under Armour provides good discounts for employee's. Whenever customer's discounts go up so do employee's. There's also competitions amongst stores and incentives for employees

Overall not a bad first retail job

I was hired on as a temp freight employee for the Christmas season, at first the job seemed great, early mornings worked very well with my schedule and job was straightforward. 
My “team lead” however seemed to want to make my life as difficult as possible, I have never worked somewhere where I have felt so genuinely unwanted. I would eventually start walking into my shifts feeling anxious, unmotivated and unaware on how they would treat me that day, and I would leave each shift feeling depressed and hated. 
I understand how some workplaces already have their little “cliques” in place, but how can you expect to keep your employees when you make them feel so useless/worthless. 
I did nothing but try my best everyday and was so open to learning more, eventually I just hit a breaking point that I had to leave, I couldn’t even finish my contract it was so bad. 

Would give management 0 stars if I could. Current managers are incredibly petty and exercise favoritism. Expect to be micromanaged every now and then. Be mindful as managers participate in workplace gossip.

The current stock supervisor is unbelievably lazy and doesn't know how to do her job.

Expectations are high for a minimum wage job. Stress levels are high and management offers little to no support. Hours are unpredictable, sometimes you would barely get any, and other times they will schedule you overtime without even asking for your consent.

Customers generally act entitled and rude. Pray, cross your fingers, wish that you would never be put on cash.

My last few weeks nearly completely soured the entirety of my experience here.


Being at Under Armour was fine for the first few months, until the managers really started getting on my case about very miscellaneous things and honestly just finding a reason to tell me I'm doing something wrong. Never got a "hey good job today" or "we'll do better tomorrow". The managers are immature, they try to be hip and cool and fun, but when they are stressed out it's a complete 180 don't even try talking to them. There's so much wrong with this work environment, but to top it off an employee had stolen my wallet (because it was in the backroom) and the managers did nothing "we are not responsible for lost or stolen items", I'm not a customer I'm your asset. That was the tipping point that made me leave, so apply at your own risk.

Working as a stocker at Under Armour is a physically demanding but straightforward job. A big part of the role involves handling and organizing inventory, restocking shelves, and making sure the sales floor stays neat. One of the more tedious tasks is using a ton of pins to secure clothes—especially for display purposes. It’s a small detail, but after hours of pinning and unpinning, your fingers definitely feel it.

The job requires a lot of movement, from unpacking shipments to organizing stockrooms, so be prepared to stay on your feet. The team atmosphere is fine, and the employee discount is a nice perk if you're into sportswear. However, shifts can get repetitive, especially if you're stuck doing the same pin-related tasks over and over.

Depending on your leadership team time off can be hard to come by, wages are not as competitive as before.

Most leaders care about doing their best every day, so depending on your experience you can learn a lot and can move up if you are willing to put in the work and be humble enough to be guided.

There's always lots and something to do to keep you busy at all levels and for those who want to learn the company provides a lot of resources to fill your time.

My experience at Under Armour was impacted negatively by the store manager’s behavior. The manager often engaged in gossip, which created a toxic work environment and demotivated the staff. There was clear favoritism towards certain staff members, notably based on their ethnicity, which further damaged team morale and created division. Additionally, the manager lacked empathy and did not provide the support needed to help the team succeed. These issues overshadowed the otherwise positive aspects of the workplace, such as the brand and products. I believe better leadership and a commitment to fairness would greatly improve the work culture and employee satisfaction at this store.
