I enjoyed going to work
I learned very quickly how to multi task, as my day would consist of setting up claims, answering the que line taking claims over the phone as well as assigned claims that came in over night, helping out with vendor payments and other jobs that my manager would assign with deadlines
My team that I worked with was a wonderful group, friendly and we worked well together
The hardest part of my job wasn't necessarly the job itself but the travelling distance
Management was there to help you understand the pros and cons of the job

Has been a very accommodating work environment. The job itself can be overwhelming and stressful with the amount of things coming in to respond to. Allows you to balance your social life and there’s no hovering of management. Can currently work from home but makes training a bit harder. Great place to be to balance work and personal life as well as make a decent $

A typical day at work is reviewing and releasing policies for brokers. 
I've learned a lot about the broker channel, coming from a direct writer, i learned more in depth knowledge of the insurance industry with working at Unica.

Horrid place,  PD supervisor has never adjusted a claim in their life, plays favourites,  is pro hiring family and their friends.  Promotions depend on your ability to suck up,  not knowledge or skill. And they absolutely love and adore microwaving fish.   

Good employees are expected to stay in their roles for years with no advancement... Manager of underwriting once said suck it up or leave....great company for employee benefits but that’s it

Unica is a great place to work, they offer good pay, work from home options and a friendly atmosphere to work in. My only personal issue is that the location is a little out of the way, close to brampton in north mississauga.

Very engaging culture. Lots of opportunities to learn insurance. Had Toastmasters on site. Monthly updates from Management and plans for growth. Had a very supportive manager who would take of team and get good mentorship.

Working with Unica is pleasurable experience. No pressure of work, niche products. Respectful approach not within company but also from external clients. Job work like is truly balanced. 

Strong management group that created a good work environment.  Company makes everyone feel important and involved in its success.   Office is very nice and in a good location in Mississauga
