- a typical day: Lots to research and solutions provided. 8 hours is not enough to finish.
- Learnt: new things almost everyday
- Management: high % low skills to manage people. Manager focus in technical things, but are mostly inefficient in performance.  Managers don't appreciate employees.  When they suggest changes are pointed out as "trouble makers".  No proper reward for performance.  Admin tools for improvement are used by bad managers as weapons, without consequences.
- Bad work balance.  Some people work a lot;  Very committed.  Others do very little, they overload the working ones, and managers give price to bad workers because they obey blindly even when inefficient.  Prize for keeping quiet, even before abuses.  Who speaks up gets punished.
- Hardest job part: knowing solutions to improve work and productivity and being blocked to implement it, or even suggesting them.
- The most enjoyable: schedule flexibility, dealing with usual employees: Secretaries, General service stuff and non-managerial professionals.  The majority of people honor their status as international environment in a respectful manner.
*Problem are a few middle level managers; They abuse or tolerate abuse to lower level staff, either personal or professionally, and they cannot be removed from office because they are protected as "diplomats".  Organizations tend to avoid conflict with member states who have send such people to UN organizations.
* UN organizations are high potential environment professionally and personally, but has been kidnapped by unqualified middle level professionals, that cannot be removed from office because of lack of a proper, admin-independent tool to evaluate unbiased.  
Staff association does not protect employees. 
 Internal procedures favor managers, and abusers take advantage of it with no possible disciplinary measures taken against them.  Many good qualified professionals leave because of lack of purpose, or too many obstacles to do their jobs well.

I enjoyed worked with UNFPA Afghanistan it the environment was full of challenges with outstanding results base goals and objectives of the organisation with my roles . I gained and transferred knowledge and experience to UNFPA Afghanistan When my supervisor (International Operations Manager) was away from office for short and long times I was managing the entire operation team of multiple units such ( Finance, Admin, HR, procurement,Logistics and Transportation and IT) was responsible to our UNFPA programs compiled of multiple units and always stay and be responsive to Senior Management. All these we’re haven me an excellent knowledge and expertise . I really enjoyed during my work I’d with UNFPA Afghanistan.

As a team , the morals was high and the people were dedicated to finish the job with high standards.

working with them was good, and i always insisted to stay focused on the main principle which was the best value for money and high efficiency under pressure and meeting deadline even if this needed an extra mile in the day.

the procurement management at that time was a hard biased to some individuals which leaded to injustice in the work load but as i mentioned i did my extra mile and couldn't take all my work leave that i needed but all in all it was a good experience which leaded to a better leadership in management later on with the jobs i had and still have up to date

a typical day is a day when I reach my work site a little bit earlier to have some time to discuss with my college in the previous shift about the problems that I may face, Smoothly solve any problem may appear, learn something new from senior co-workers, manage all situations properly and in safe way,
The hardest and most enjoyable part in security guard job is the ability to protect the property of the employer with involving my self in the risk.

Working at the United Nations was an excellent experience; diverse cultures and people in a dynamic communications unit. 

It provide a platform for interns to experience working as a diplomat and look at the various world issues tabled for resolution. 

It was good to see the coming together of countries for the annual General Assembly and meeting fellow interns from over 30 countries.

The United Nations is a great place to work! At least the section I am currently in. Everyone is very kind and friendly, and always willing to help with an open door management system. Co-workers are friendly, management is super supportive. 
Hardest part is remembering the various financial rules and how to apply them accordigly. Most enjoyable would definitely be the people!

A normal day would start with more strict and formal routines. Learning how to handle the revenues of government-owned properties, and credit related issues. The culture was very formal and less friendly. The handling of different audit teams. Making gathering with the office colleagues at the end of the weekend.

The work is focused on cross-cutting issues, therefore challenging sometimes. A perfect place for those who like to feel motivated in life by solving greater problems faced by today's world. This is a place where you can learn and contribute your knowledge meaningfully. Amazing multicultural participation across the work.

Learned through the job. Great work flexibility that can enable one to take further studies. Room for cross continental interactiveness, and the ability to learn multi cultural, multiethnic characteristics of the multi racial environment.
