What is the best part of working at the company?
Everyone is friendly. At least they seemed friendly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They expect you to work 12 hour days, 6 days per week. Want to have a work life balance? Sorry, this company doesn't support that type of living, so they will tell you they are "going in a different direction" with the sales team, despite you working on 3 sales in one day. It's also a super bro culture so if that isnt you, you wont fit in.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
12 hour days, one day off every 2nd week. Cold calls all day long. No training if you are new to the industry, so you better be quick to figure things out on your own. Asking for help gives you next to nothing they say one sentence then wander off to chat it up with the bros. Oh and they don't give any warm leads until you have sold at least 5 vehicles.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Cold calls, more cold calls. Want warm leads? Nope, cold call

While I was at Universal, we had several employees that were working with family members, and they were always goofing off.  Management was clueless that they were taking breaks all the time, or just not really working that hard.  I also saw some coworkers being treated badly because they were not politically connected.  The laziest people were safe because their mommy or daddy would protect them if they ever screwed up.  Total double standard.  Management also had favourites for sure.  It was like being in high school, only worse.

As a service advisor. If you don't mind working in a drive thru with little climate control. It's a good company. Co workers are supportive. Managers are good. Just not so good customers and working environment. Working in drive thru can get extremely hot during summer and cold in winter when Front and Rear doors Has to open frequently. Not to mention exhaust From vehicles. And customers are harder to dealt with. Hours are longer as you can't always leave on time.  But good managers for sure. 

Staff & management moral, acknowledgment/praise, team work/support is very positive overall for this particular dealership in the Service Department but the pay structure is terrible due to it being own by a corporate company, Kaizen (they treat their employees like a number). Pay is super dependent on customer reviews. Definitely a great dealership to learn from but compensation does not reflect all the efforts and high volume work load. Very high turnover due to this main reason.

Was a great opportunity to learn and gain new experience in the areas of advertising, service and hands on customer service and retention. Management treat their employees with respect, encourage and offer education to support them for advancement within their dealership. They have an excellent reputation for long term employees. It was the best working experience I had at any dealership.

Working at universal was a great experience, I was treated with respect and the expectations placed on me were fair. Management always took me seriously and treated me as an equal. 

It's decent enough. Gives you a paycheque but very easy to get stuck there, you don't really move up not many pay increases. HOWEVER the social culture there is MESSED. It's like being in high school all over again. The management refuses to see the problem however and it leads to so much stress.

Overall it was much easier to sell a car here than I thought, there is a lot of Veteran salesmen that have customers in they're pipeline.. so as a newbie there were lots of walk in customers for you to grab, and the managers were always doing a great job making sure you had fresh leads. Would go back . 

Amazing place to work, management is greAt and really wants you to suceed. All the co workers were super cool as well. Would definitely go there  again if the economy was booming

This was the best dealership I worked at in all Ford dealerships in Calgary. Great staff, technicians help you, well run and very organized, very busy shop and well equipped with the proper equipment.
