The worst place I've ever worked, this company has incredibly high turnover for a reason. The manager I had was a hot tempered individual who never once gave me any proper training. She's the type of person to smile in your face and tell you everything is good and the work you're producing is great, then turn around and tell someone else that you're doing the complete opposite. Highly toxic place to work do not apply, from their head office to residential and commercial property management it's not worth it. There are plenty of other companies if you want to be a property manager that are well established and treat their people with respect and dignity. 

Universal Realty Group has a toxic culture and employees are not valued.  Staff work hard for very little money and even less recognition.  People say that the owner doesn't give increases ever.  Management is always stressed and take it out on the staff.  When I was being hired they said how amazing the company is and how there was training and so many benefits...lies.  People are told they can't take vacation even if it's planned already and staff get fired for being sick.  If you get fired and live in the buildings you have to be out in 2 weeks, even if you have kids.  They don't care about anything but making more money for the rich owner.

Great management, benefits and pay.

 I worked with a great team of people and Universal is a very accommodating employer to work with as I had some health issues come up during my employment and management was able to work with me and I am very appreciative of this. I miss my job greatly there and would most definitely apply to work there again in the future. Absolutely my favorite position that I've had.


Head off the residential department is very stressed and can not help new hires do their job . It’s always complaining about the job . not one said about the upside of working at Universal .Did not have time to train . CEO is very rude . Will make very rude  comments to staff. 
The pay was okay . They do not know what they want . Very unprofessional and unorganized. Want you to work on the weekends volun told to do work with no extra pay or Lue days . 
They will smile in your face and tell you you are doing a great job and then fire you without warning

 The management is the worse. Pay is terrible. Salary based but rent goes as a taxable benefit. No help from management when conflict happens with Tenants or coworkers. Overtime is not paid. You are expected to do things that are not in your range of capabilities and expected to meet ridiculous expectations. 6 units one person one week. The building I worked in had asbestos and I was exposed. Was not told about it by the company. Contractor told me.

Due to the great team I work with, stress is not a part of my day.

Work environment is great, with a positive culture. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Daily mechanical rounds, morning operations meeting, organizing contractors, answering tenants issues.

I have never worked for such a poorly mismanaged company. The owner doesn’t care about anyone.  The residential manager leads with fear, lies, trickery and manipulation. It’s like being gaslit everyday. The pay is well below any acceptable standards. There are no raises. Good work goes unnoticed or not appreciated.  You live with constant fear and anxiety about your  job. Incompetent leadership. Run far far away.

The workman ship is great and other employees r kind

Not having a job completed on time

Awesome  the boss is a great person to work with

Good, everyone is very helpful and in a good mood.

I worked here since last 4 years and moved to many levels up and have succeeded in this company. Higher management supported me a lot and always recognized my talent. So will recommend this company if you are person looking for long term commitments and Job safety based on your performance.

Very collaborative workplace, the management is very good to it's people, lunches, birthday gift cards, Holidays gifts etc.

If you work good , you're being appreciated and not being taken for granted.
