When I first began at Upfeat it was great but it shortly went down hill. The most positive things you get out of working there are working from home (if that’s your thing), you have flexible break times that are paid (if you’re FT you get 45 mins for an 8 hour shift) and you can take it at once or split it up, and they’ll send you any equipment if you don’t have what’s needed for the job etc. It can feel like a “team like” environment (at first) but then over time you start to see and feel it’s not genuinely like so. Not everyone gets treated equally (they say their expectations are the same for everyone in their respective positions - so not true). Most of the managers are originally there to “support” you as in they make you comfortable enough to go to them if you need it but the more you ask for “help”, they actually secretly discredit your ability within whichever position it may be (which can be understandable in some cases but they are unfair and dishonest). They’ll let you go from the job even if you’ve met the expectations (happened to me and a few others). It’s a job if you’re looking for something to get you by, it could work for you but my advice is steer away. They’re very, very disorganized and dishonest.

Upfeat tends to be very disorganized. Training is majorly done on your own with limited input from managers or others, then you are penalized for making mistakes. The promotion count per day is a minimum of 50, but there are no clear goals set for how many promotions to do. Employees are ranked on a website for how many promotions are written per day and the competition is what is supposed to motivate employees. The goal is not a specific number, but to beat others in the company. It is very anti-teamwork and promotes a toxic work culture. Other than this competition, there are no clear goals set to meet. In general, not a great place to work.

The company is very flexible with work/life balance, allows you to clock out for appointments when necessary as long as you do 8 hours a day.

I started working there pretty much right out of university. I was really excited to have landed a marketing role at such a cool-looking company, one that looked just like something you'd see on T.V.

Unfortunately, the company itself was horrible. I was given a contract for a few weeks, and being paid minimum wage. Can't remember the "reasoning", but they continued to extend my contract so they didn't have to pay me more than minimum wage or pay any benefits to me.

People worked with their heads down, management expected a lot and was very strict, and the output expected was very high. Shady AF company, and when I told them I was giving my resignation, they offered to match my salary at the new job (without even asking me what the salary was).

Beware. Stay away from this company.

A terribly managed company by people who don't really know what they are doing. They hire new and experienced people but won't take their advice. Scrimp and save on budget which means everyone is covering 2-3 people's jobs while stressed and overworked. The internal management structure is a mess with no clear direction or guidance, and with no understanding of scheduling or how much work people can realistically deliver within a certain timeframe. There will be one "manager" telling you one thing while another is telling you something else with internal power struggles daily. Everyone working against each other and not respecting others. Truly an awful experience working here.

You'll be challenged from day one to push the boundaries of projects you work on and how it can grow yourself and the company. You'll also get a chance to work with some of the largest content publishers in the US & UK.

Senior management is heavily involved with the product and allows for agile decision making without long release cycles. Our product team is serious about tech and innovation, our designers are relentless about improving UX and user flows.

I've been with Upfeat for just over 6 months now, and love it. There are tons of opportunities for growth, with great benefits and pay. We've been working from home since March, but even when we're in the office, the hours are flexible which is awesome.
There is a lot to learn at the beginning, but you're encouraged to ask questions and it's a very supportive environment. The job is totally different from anything I'd done before, but I learned quickly with the support of my team leader and managers. Even now working from home, managers are ready to hop on a call whenever necessary to answer questions or help you figure things out.

If you're just starting a career in digital marketing, Upfeat is the right company for you. They offer excellent growth opportunity and continuous training to get you where you see yourself. 

Upfeat not only cares about their employees on a professional level but also a sociable level, by offering fun office events, parties, free food and drinks, benefits if you've been at the company for a few months and so much more!

If you want to stick with a company and grow, then I suggest applying!

The people were genuinely nice, and the work environment was supportive. They were also trying to incorporate new AI technologies, which was interesting at first. However, the AI wasn’t fully developed, so some people ended up spending a lot of time correcting everything it produced. The job itself was quite boring and repetitive, with little room for creativity or growth. On top of that, the pay was extremely low, making it difficult to stay motivated. While the AI aspect brought some initial excitement, it didn’t outweigh the overall monotony and lack of compensation.

I was so excited to work here based on how modern it was- modern office, free food, relaxed dress code. However, my first day there was horrible it felt like I was just part of a production line and the person put in charge of me was very rude. It was minimum wage and the contract was highly problematic.. I quit after the first day and I was never compensated for it. If you're a recent marketing/communications grad trust me you don't need this, there are far better more legit opportunities out there.

Upfeat Media is by far the most mismanaged company, with an extremely toxic work environment. The management has zero respect for their employees. There was little to be enjoyed with this company as they offered many fake incentives and never followed through, pushed their employees to absolute breaking points without any over time pay or recognition. Overall, not even worth applying.
