While the lauded history of this school offers much to admire, and the students are motivated (enculturated) to succeed, the work place can be  extraordinarily politicized and toxic. There is no balance whatsoever to a teaching position: one is simply performing at top speed all the time, and it is intensely competitive. Management is generally supportive of faculty interests. However, there is a disproportionately strong (and demanding) parent association. Unless you are an 'Old Boy' yourself, you are subtly reminded that you are lucky to be there at all. And indeed you are: Students and faculty have access to the finest of everything--facilities, research, professional development, learning support. But this comes at the expense of many things, not the least of which is real-world experience and balanced, socially engaged citizens. 

Working at upper Canada College has boost my confidence to interact within a diverse setting.  Serving the students their Breakfast , lunch and dinner was very exciting for me because I get to communicate with them and understand their culture. It was an amazing fruitful experience for me . Most off all the employees were very friendly and assisted me to learn of the system more 

I enjoy working here as it enables me to work with children and work with other university and college students. Typical days are about 8-9 hours long. This job requires lots of patience as you are working with 3-6 year olds. We organize a series of activities to keep them entertained i.e. swimming, sports, arts & crafts, music, etc.

The working atmosphere there was slow most of the time with spots where we were crazy business. I enjoyed the company of most of my coworkers. It was a good mix of people from different parts of the country with lots of different experiences that I learnt from. Customer service taught me how to interact with people in a professional setting.

It's been a good time, overall tbh, intersections with customers, so many great people all around the place. Team is great, management understands situations for people like me who's first generation immigrant in this country and also English as not as a first language. 

Overall this organization is a great place to work.
Supervisors book monthly review meetings with you to monitor your work and guide you to achieve your goals

I gave occasional seminars, very enjoyable.
Great teaching  staff.
Great workplace environment.
Great funding.
Great opportunities.
Learned how important the relationship between students and their coaches is for their self-confidence and growth.

In general, the kids are cute and fun to work with. The work day goes fast. When you work all day, free lunch is provided. Expenses incurred buying supplies for the activities is refunded. There are a lot of opportunities to show creativity and initiative.

Its fun but like any other camps it pays less. The facilities is incredible and lunch is free. My co-workers are great and we all get along. We go out as a group after work and that was very nice. The culture of the place is inclusive. It was a pleasant experience.
