The owners are kind and seem focused on the image and presentation of the business (which is a good thing). 

All the trucks are newer than 5 years, there is always room for advancement when an opening comes up and they always post internally first.
  
Drivers are hired with driving skill & customer service being treated equal. We're kinda the white glove service of office paper and container collection & the company expects you to make small talk with your regular customers, learn the receptionists name, etc.

Almost everyone starts on rear-load but the trucks are awesome and way faster/less work than open back rear load trucks. I feel bad for other company drivers.

Not much company culture, you work 4 x10 hours, and some routes are longer than others so you don't really see anybody else. Christmas parties used to be real & good - now they are just a food truck for 2 hours and they bring it in at such a weird time for the trucking team. 

It would be nice to have a company wide Christmas party/summer BBQ because I think it would do a lot of good to have everyone mingle outside of the office. Tables and chairs, plated food. Standing around using boxes of bags or totes as tables after your rushed back from your route to get 15 minutes of burgers really isnt relaxing or worth it. 

I guess what bugs me the most is that the office people come over all clean & dressed up and it just reinforces the stereotype that drivers are stressed, smelly, and grouchy. No - Let me go home and shower, change into nice clothes etc

(But if the christmas party is the worst part of the job the work is actually pretty good...)

As a former employee in the Sales Department I can only say positive things about my 5.5 years with the Company.

The team is very hard working, kind and collaborative, (lots of support, from good people). 

Safety and the Environment are a huge part of the company culture.

It is a very faced paced environment but that's all part of the fun! The company is growing and has a very strong brand in the Lower Mainland.

A typical day at work is when you start you pre trip your truck then start it and go over your paper work making sure it is in order and if there are any special requests or pickups.  You then converse with other drivers before leaving the yard to go get your route done.  Hardest part of the job is finding parking at some locations and dealing heavy material up inclines.  Most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with customers that you had made a bond with.  Management was always open and around if you had a concern about anything throughout your day.

Best Company I ever worked  for! They are Willing to help you as a class 5 driver Before they helped me to get my Class 3 and the. Rest is History now I’m working as a Roll off Driver I learned a lot of new Things. Ops Manager is Very hands on and The Owner . I would recommend Urban impact as A Awesome Work Place!

Good people to work with. Great company that values hard work and lot of support from everyone and specially from top Managers. Lot of free pizzas, coffee and energetic drinks. Uniforms are also avialable for all seasons.

Great people to work with. Friendly work environment. They will take there time to explain you all the hazards and easier more efficient way you finishing task especially the Trucking operations manager he is a great guy and extremely qualified. 

management are nasty people, they will make your life horrible and joke about it
huge turnover of employees due to management issues
routes are excessive due to the lack of employees since most will quit because of the horrible office people.....

Urban impact was a very good and amazing company to work for you are not a number there you are a family member I felt like I was involved with all the things that when on 

Great Company it feels like a big family.  Worked here for 5 years i had a great time working there.  I learned lots of great skills and had lots of opportunity for overtime.  Newer equipment.  I would Highly Reccommend this company
