i found my time at urban quarry extremely stressful, being asked to do more then i could physically handle, when i asked for help i was turned away everytime, my stress level began to rise and never fell, due to the excess stress, mistakes were being made on my part, though i had support from the shop manager and the night manager, the higher management did nothing to aide my situation. on top of this, the owner would berate me and other workers on a constant basis, though not too common, it was not unheard of for the owner to threaten the jobs of those who worked under him.

If you are someone who loves teamwork and is goal oriented, Urban Quarry might just be the place for you. 
The day goes by pretty fast, setting up tables and running jobs back to back. Although it sounds tiring, but people you work with make all the difference. Very friendly and helpful!
I’ve found the culture at Urban Quarry to be a very supportive and nurturing one so far and I feel appreciated for the work I do.
Mistakes are genuinely considered a learning curve.
Would definitely recommend Urban Quarry to the go getters!

The manager is incompetent, cold and cares only about production. YOU are replaceable and are expected to complete the impossible daily. Workload is ridiculous. Advancement is a joke (or an empty promise). The manager will take advantage of, Underpay, or cheat you (maybe all three if he can get away with it) in a heart beat. No current or pass employee likes it there. They may say they do but that’s just FEAR of reprisal because management keeps look out for “slander”. Don’t work there if you like not being depressed. 

I would give Urban a hands down 5 star rating if they compensated salary with the amount of work load. Stressful but very fun and on your feet job. The employees and management are great and there’s lots of good benefits to the job it’s self! Biggest problem is the poor amount of pay for the intensive amount of work load. 

This place is world class in its design and infrastructure. As far as stone shops go its definitely the best I've seen (of 2). The production workers were generally great people. The CNC work is far more interesting that metalworking.

Unfortunately its a "family business". So management had some room for improvement. I got a couple raises but I wouldn't expect a raise or advancement generally.

This company does not value their employees. They do not provide you with the tools to succeed. they will terminate you without cause.  Your work load gets over whelming and they will not offer you help. The owners never listen to the employees feed back, you are replaceable.

It was a fun, family run company to work for.  There were various departments within the company, and all employees were treated equally.  Management was also always reachable, and easy to communicate with.

The job was consistent, and steady, took heavy lifting but the guys there are wonderful to work alongside. 

Come to the shop same time every day, load the materials and then drive to the homes for the day.

Working for urban quarry has ups and downs.on the up side good long hours and good workers..the down side is the management and all of they're many issues that not one person can fix
