You are in peoples private home’s every day. 
Being a professional and actually caring about the job and finished/ results is imperative. 
After all if you were to pay $20K+ for windows I’m sure you would want the finished window installation and overall appearance of what you paid for to look great. 

My attitude was just that. 

Do it right or don’t do it at all. 
It may take a little longer but if you don’t have pride in your work why the heck are you doing it? 

The crews are great to work with, as long as you’re doing your job and working hard like they all do. 

Working with different team members brought me many many notable life skills and lessons that can be applied to all aspects of life. The crew and team are absolutely fantastic and supportive. I never had a bad experience with anyone I met in the company. With team members or with management. 
HUGE shout out to mark.  Keep up the good work.  Mark will always make time for you to answer comments, questions or concerns. 

This is great place to work if you are a team player and can get along with others. We have all kinds of nationalities and genders here which gives the place a very kind attitude towards others. I don't know who wrote the unfriendly family run business review but if they ever worked for Van Isle they would know it's not a family run business.
I have been here over a decade and I expect to be here until I retire.

If you like to know how it is to be employed in the 1950s then this is the company for you. Racism, sexism, verbal and emotional abuse is the norm there. Never had experienced so much hate and back stabbing until I got to this place. All the good ones seem to leave and the ones that are there can't go anywhere else.

As Accounting Manager, love what is all about, as well Human Resources.  To interact with all co-workers is the best in an ordinary day of work. At the end of the day, to have our work done in the best way possible.  That will show our results at the end of the months.  Just I love my profession, and I love working with all kind of different people.

1 worked in sales until I had to retire in 2019.
I had worked at other window companies in Ontario for over 25 years. I class Van Isle as one of the best companies I have worked for.
Of course you have to work hard and they expect a lot - but I am used to that and expected it when I started there.
Excellent company and customer orientated.


A great place to work, and pretty straight forward when unloading and loading the work truck. Great lead hands to work with, and made work a lot easier whilst they taught you the ropes with installations. The only hard part about work is usually the hot summer weather. Other than that, it's a 10/10 working for Van Isle Windows!

This was by far the worst working experience of my life. The management is so toxic and my main manager constantly talked behind everyone's backs to other employees. Major favouritism and negative working environment. Management can act however they want and do not have repercussions for negative / toxic behavior. 

Minimum wage, high turnover, no paid time off. A good fit for a part time student or someone still living at home. Not for someone with bills and family responsibilities.

Did not enjoy my experience with this company.  The family run business is not very friendly with staff.  You are lucky to be spoken to when you say good morning.  The boss was really nasty to deal with.  A bad experience.
