     Work under guidelines managed by The Indian Visa and Consular Services Centers and authorized by the High Commission of India/ Consulates General of India in Canada Manage all documents and completed daily reports enforcing an organized auditing process. Accept applications for Visa, Passport, Overseas citizenship of India, and Persons of Indian origin card. Collect application charges and return documents to applicants including passport delivery. Listened, understood and responded to customer inquiries regarding general services, sales, and adjustment requests while providing accurate, consistent and correct information to clients through various information channels (ie: telephone, email, etc.,) Significant use of memory, continuous learning, and critical thinking Follow up and communicate with specific departments for escalation and resolution of more complex problems. Promote products and services Researched shipments to identify documentation in transit, missing and pending Entered, maintained, and updated case information in computer and paper records, as required. Maintained and operated general office equipment (ie: specialized scanners, photocopier, bar code reader, etc...) Maintained internal compliance and audit control Educated in all aspects of managerial duties (balanced cash holdings, depositing cash, recruitment co-ordination and payroll)

VFS Global was outsourced office for Indian Consulate. On behalf of VFS I was working at Consulate.

My Country head was amazing.  He had full faith in me. He was very quick in solving problems. He was someone on whom I could rely on.

Working at VFS was challenging everyday. At that time we were processing lot of visa and passport application. Everyday from receiving new application to dispatching processed one was tedious job. I enjoyed working there and also built good relationship with manager and supervisors.

All the senior staff there was very helpful. With their support and help I was able to function properly at Consulate and also earned lot of praise from the officers at Consulate.

Personally, I did not enjoy the work culture. I found employees rather secluded from one another. Some days there would be nothing to do. The work is rather easy and not too challenging. I do suggest management do a better job during the training process in relation to letting employees know all the codes and references.  

Although, the work place did have flexible work hours and the opportunity for travel.

Hired me in the peak season of visa applications to help and promised me I would grow and become full time eventually.
3 months in I was doing well put in my time even worked almost 60 hour work weeks but the business was slowing down so they decided to temporarily lay me off.
This company does not treat their employees like humans.

This is a good entry level position but the atmosphere is a complete dud! They micro manage every aspect of your work life. They pay just a dollar above minimum wage. You have to wear a uniform which really needs to come into 2022! 

Some of the best things is like this is the best organisation where one can easily explore the tourism industry and good working environment.It has good environment in the office
but lot of pressure and Frequent change in senior management causing too many changes in process are some of the cons.

Requires utmost accuracy and attention to details.
Requires absolute confidentiality as nature of work involves dealing with sensitive and personal information about applicants.
A typical day of work would involve high volume of applications and meeting tight deadlines.

If you dont have any option , then only come and join VFS else please try to get some courses and join other workplace.

Besides, management is unsuuportive and never listens your concerns and power polotics is biggest challenge here.

I have experienced a lot many new things about the visa processing of different countries and how to deal with the customers. I always provides the best productivity to the company regarding sales, customer service
