The best part of my job besides the outstanding management, has been the support from the team to learn and grow into my career. 
The training they've offered me is extensive and thorough. I have received 27 certificates during my 3 years there. 
Hours are flexible which os an additional bonus. 


The job itself is enjoyable and fulfilling. However, there is minimal training, and management do not demonstrate adequate leadership in order to set their volunteers up for success. There is tension, and favoritisms in the workplace. It is ironic that this organization's mission is to support people through difficult times, as the employer does not know how to support its employees.



Great learning opportunity and volunteer training. Hard working employees in the office. Unfortunately this division was a toxic environment lead by uncaring management.
The person doing the trainings lacks empathy & compassion says you need to be fit meanwhile over half of the management team is over size themselves 

Great atmosphere to provide emotional support and to gain experience with communication alongside emergency personnel and the general public. Highly recommend for individuals involved in a law- related field or social services.

I have always enjoyed working here, amazing co workers, and the amount of passion we all have for our clients. Met all different types of people dealing with situations from every aspect of life. such an incredible experience.

Great place to gain more exposure and help residents in the community during a traumatic time. 

Coworkers are amazing and willingness to help out in surreal. Anticipate that you are always learning something new. 

amazing place...loved the other people who worked there, each person enjoyed supporting the community as well as each other. Some things we seen wasn't very pretty but we had each other to debrief and lean on.

I loved working for VS. I had an amazing ED though which could've played a large role but I loved the diversity of the job and the quick paced nature of always having things to do and assisting the community in their times of need.

Victim Services is a wonderful work environment. I enjoyed my time there immensely. 
The group that works at VS is a very strong team. The Director has built a very good environment without strife or difficulty.

I volunteered with them for my high school community involvement hours and had a lot of fun working at the rink running the score board and the music for the youth hockey games.
