I have had the privilege of working at Valhalla Flwr for the past 3.5 years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As an employee in the cannabis industry, I can confidently say that Valhalla Flwr stands out not only for its exceptional products but also for its outstanding staff and management.

Poorly structured management with constantly changing priorities and heavy micromanagement made it difficult to plan or execute work effectively. Reporting lines and decision-making authority were unclear, and conflicting instructions from senior leadership were common, with accountability consistently pushed downward. Despite delivering strong early results in the role, including significant growth in my assigned market, the scope of my responsibilities expanded well beyond the original position over time without discussion, compensation, or formal role changes. Sales expectations continued to increase without providing the tools, resources, or support required to meet them. The company also demonstrated poor internal follow-through, frequently committing to provide support materials, direction, or enablement and then failing to deliver. There were additional concerns around privacy and monitoring practices, including a lack of clarity or advance notice regarding access to employee email accounts, particularly for remote employees using personal devices. Despite performance management being referenced in the employee agreement, no formal performance reviews were ever conducted. Collectively, these issues made the role unsustainable.

As a current employee of Valhalla Flwr, I am delighted to provide a review of this family-owned and operated business. Valhalla Flwr is a company that values its employees, and I have had an incredibly positive experience working here.

Recalling my time working for the management of this company fills me with a sense of dissatisfaction and discomfort. The experience was nothing short of traumatizing as I encountered individuals who were not only narrow-minded but also rude and disrespectful. The treacherous environment created by the management team made it almost impossible to work effectively and efficiently. The lack of support and understanding, combined with their dismissive and derogatory attitudes, made the workplace a hostile and unwelcoming place. I often found myself questioning my abilities and second-guessing my decisions due to constant criticism and negativity. The atmosphere was so toxic that it left a lasting impact on my mental health and well-being. 

No benefit plans offered. Disgusting bathrooms, no proper change room or stall, an unsanitary tiny break room with short breaks. Dirty facility - no sanitation team. Minimal or no training provided with nobody designated or interested to train. Tense work environment with yelling and swearing between management and towards staff. Manager lacks the proper skills to guide staff in a professional and constructive way. Zero accountability taken from the manger, just blames staff for the problem. Inconvenient location with terrible cell reception. Worst job experience I’ve ever had. Unprofessional workplace. 

Just another company full of horrible employees. Their employees are rude, dirty, and unskilled. If you know what you are doing in this industry this is not the place for you. Dirty scrubs, awful parking, horrible location. Do yourself a favour and avoid working for these people. They will waste your time as well as their own because they have no idea how to run a successful cultivation facility. There is a reason this place is ALWAYS hiring because they have no respect for anyone. 

Valhalla flwr is a great place to work! The people are friendly and the work is enjoyable. I have been with Valhalla for 2 years and counting. I have learned so much since I started working here. The owners are very knowledgeable and are always willing to help. The atmosphere is always positive with everyone working together as a team. I would definitely recommend Valhalla flwr to anyone looking for a positive work environment on the okanagan valley.

Not a positive or collaborative environment. The owners are blind to the fact their senior staff members are rude, judgmental, and unwelcoming. You will be treated as an outsider and everyone you work with will talk negatively about you behind you back. Just an extremely toxic environment. There is no HR, no sanitation staff, and a very inaccessible location. 

The unnecessary anxiety this place gives is off the charts. The staff are wonderful people but I don't know how they are still there, management is so mean and manipulative. Yells at you constantly, asks you to work insane overtime with no gratitude or financial benefits. I have seen multiple employees cry and need to leave. Until they can hire a new manager that has some humandecency don't bother applying

The CEO's chronic absenteeism was not only causing problems for the company's management but also creating a horrible working environment for the employees. The lack of leadership from the CEO was sending the company into a dark abyss, with the workers morale becoming increasingly derisory.
