I worked front desk for a number of years, night audit for one. I loved the team, they felt like family, very supportive. They definitely know how to throw a Christmas party! I was employee of the month once and it felt great to be recognized. Great staff discounts, always would accommodate when I had a request whether it be for a friends & family discount on a room or scheduling around my baseball schedule in the summer. I have since moved away but always make a point to stop by for a visit when I am in town. I do miss the Valhalla. Mostly miss the people, of course.

Get everything ready for the day but some employees were very rude and bossy. Stuff is disorganized but keeping doing your job you will be fine. Hardest park is working the long hours at the job by not getting enough sleep. Workplace culture not a very fun environment as it should have been but at times it can be. Most enjoyable part of the job is being able to serve the guests if they have no complaints and getting tips on top of the salary.

This is a horrific place to work. Not enough employees working their hired positions and the work load is atrocious. The company wants to cut back even more then it already has and can’t afford to have more people. Hotel is dirty and unclean, many terrible things go on behind closed doors. How this dump is still open shocks me, so gross. A lot of harassment from workers and managers, just a toxic environment. Turnover rate is HUGE

Organized trays previous any order,
Answered phone calls to take orders for room service, 
Processed guest payments
Closed payments in the computers,
As a Supervisor, I coordinated schedules, made sure the staff was on time. Answered any guests concerns.
Had my station clean all the time.
Picked up trays after the guest was done with their meal.

not a fair workplace
you work morning noon and night, you get liew time without any overtime pay, they dont pay for any overtime at all.  They say that you can take time off with pay but its always so busy y9ou never get a chance to take any time oof without effecting the rest of the team.
They dont respect work life ballance and take you for granted at every oportunity

Worked almost three years and not bad for few about a year then all is down hill moral, respect, and a lot of disrespect for other country workers. Turnover for kitchen management team is very high. Since I've been there at least 4 chefs in 3 years. Wow.

Best job ever would highly recommend , the sandwich sometimes . And if your nice to the staff you might get free food 🤭everyone there is wondering a lot of different cultures . Some ppl aren’t the best I’ll get to that for sure 🤭but like 90% amazing . 

No one seems happy to be there, lots of the staff have been there a long time and just seem to be disinterested, lots of talk about how great it used to be 20 years ago. Unfortunately I think most managment and and employees have just been there too long and need to go before you will see real change 

I started working here for more tourist experience. It started out GREAT.  I had so much fun working with amazing people and my manger was so kind.  Then we got a new supervisor and this job turned into a nightmare….
Don’t recommend due to poor management.  

Nice coworkers and they will help you if you are behind. The tough things is sometimes, the rooms are way messier than you think. Remember don't hurt your body cause it's a labour job. So good luck if you want to work here.
