During my years with VNHS I was fortunate to work with many knowledgeable caring Manager who generously shared their wealth of information. 
depending on the type of housing you work in the landscape at times can be harsh but ever so rewarding when the client secedes. 
It was in these moments I witnessed staff give of their personal time to support each other, not for pay, or acknowledgment but to assist one another to ensure the needs of the people we serve are met. 

Im very grateful for everyone I met and all I learned throughout my Journey with VNHS.
Great people both staff and clients.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Easily one of the worst companies I ever worked for. No management support, *when they can find a manager), terrible managers when they hire, terribke wages, cronyism at main office, constant turnover.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
See previous.  Clients are very high needs and one gets little support in helping deal with them. You even need to beg for your benefits... demanding you fill in your own sick days and schedule your vacations a tlyear in advance. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Awful. See previous. I'm just filling in space here because indeed demands a longer answer. But really... don't work here.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up early, and not get paid for it. Deal with clients that you either don't have resources for, and you can't use your own judgement. Be assigned busy work. Deal with crises. Write reports. Stay overtime you don't get paid for because your relief doesn't show.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Support and encouragement  and the training on the job is excellent from the staff

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I said the only thing that stressed me out was the way the email system work computers and stuff like that and all the forms were to find them like any other place

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
it’s very supportive and loving and kind and respectful and that’s the way they treat each other and it is very spiritual

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
a typically includes making food cleaning up all the hallways that are on the seven floors of the Orwell Hotel where I worked and talking to the clients encouraging them having some good times with them laughing and treating them with kindness and respect and love and that’s what we usually get back from them

Without giving away my identity, all I can say is, they have quite a bit of difficulties managing and maintaining their properties. The issues I experienced with regards to management were awful... and I can only hope things have changed since I was there, but I felt completely unsupported and as a result unsafe in the environment. You need to have extremely strong boundaries and a big sense of compassion to work for this company.... if you can manage both setting boundaries and being compassionate you would be excellent, however some of the issues pertaining to the residents are just beyond your help and you have to be okay with that as well.... 

In general working here is good. Nobody bothers me, however, there is too much lack of organization, and too much much paper work: specially reports that makes it difficult to do actual work attending the buildings. Management take forever to make decisions about improvements. Employees come and go in all levels. Specially building managers and property managers, making hard because work overload.
But not all is negative. There are great people working here who try to do their best under the circumstances.  Managemt is mostly friendly and listen.  

I worked for this company in the position of building manager. They had a lot of employee turn over, very little training and they want you to live in the building you are managing which means you are there 24 hours a day 7 days a week . You have to deal with a lot of tenants with mental health issues and substance abuse issues while earning a poor wage, I would not recommend to anyone who wants to have an even work/life balance to apply here because you have no life and to much work for to little pay.

My work in this company is Head of Security but also comes with a lot of Social Work. My own personality and experience in life has gained me reputation for this job. I know how to connect with someone who needs mental and physical help. I find great peace when i can make sure a Youth tenant who has a full resume of PTSD or Drug abuse issues come to me and talk to me about the obstacle that they are facing.
