Low starting wage, only get promoted if you are one of the upper management favorites, expected to work past your 10 hour shift, with out being asked to stay presumed that you will stay, Then when you say no the guilt starts, Only OT past 40  hours and you rarely get your 40 hour work week, Used to be a 8 hour shift with plenty of OT, but that stopped when went to 10 hour shifts, very few get their full 40 hour a week, senority means nothing, Always short staffed, and staff that are there are expected to pick up the pace and get the job done,  very high turn over, 

Thrown into positions with little or no training, then judged on performance with little training, Too many bosses, 

Avoid this company if at all possible,

What is the best part of working at the company?
In the beginning it was great, worked long hours but that was fine. But came to the realization that your just a number to the employer. They use every loophole to not pay you properly and when they are challenged on it “ oh we will pay you next payday “ seems the lazy people get promoted and the ones who work hardest get nothing. Would not work for this company!!’

Trying to get a proper payment for the hours you work

HR is toxic acting like She owns the company 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
None stop work sometimes never get breaks or lunch

Perfect if you're tired of customer-facing retail jobs. It's just you, salad, and some coworkers with a sarcastic sense of humour in a fridge.

If you show aptitude and attention to detail, you will get trained and promoted easily. Being adaptable is a must; things can change quickly in a production environment. 

No micromanaging, supportive supervisors. Low stress if you can keep in mind that it's just lettuce; you're not saving anyone's lives. Four day work week, so you can run errands on Wednesdays and leave the weekends free!

On my last day, management informed us they'd been legally required to reinstate employees fired for attempting to start a union. Expecting some sort of Hoo-Rah from the assembled workplace, I was shocked by the extent co-workers kissed up to management by loudly declaring themselves anti-Union. One can only conclude that the company is actually an Ottawa program to warehouse the Mentally challenged. They have a Variance Agreement, which means you'll never ever get time and a half, even if you pull an eleven hour shift. Instead, you hold hands and sing Kumbaya. If working long hours for minimum wage in a 90dB fridge floats your boat, look no further.

It's a new and growing company.  If people are willing to work, have fun, and willing to participate in learning and development you will do well at the job.  

There is opportunity for advancement and learning new tasks.  The more you know the more opportunities you have.  

The job is stable.  There are days where production demands did not need a full day.  There are times when overtime is needed.  However sales are growing so it's becoming less frequent where there are slow days.  In fact we are increasing staff and adding shifts now to address the growth.  There are no shut downs like in other industries in the area.

The daily grind would be clocking in, going to your station and praying none of the machines would break down.  It's cold and you'd have to stand there and doing nothing until they got fixed.  They rarely ever send workers home and usually try to accommodate missing time by allowing you to assist other shifts with their workloads.  The management are kind and usually understanding but the building itself is kind of falling apart.  They don't racially discriminate and are very open to anyone and everyone.  If you have a warm body and don't mind the same thing all the time this job could be perfect for you.

If you want a job that will promote for hard work, great attitude and team player, this is not it, if you are not one of the favorites, then you will not go anywhere, low pay, basic benefits, not told till last minute if not working the next day to who knows what, late truck coming in, no orders, or whatever,  sometimes not even full days, Upper management has their favorites, a lot of back stabbing, Very high turnover, very low raises if any, below industry wages , try to run the company here like the one in Quebec, does not work,  Stay away, not worth the effort

Day work flexible and convenient, I believed I learnt respect of privacy and social distances at work, management well equipped, working culture are more deserved, hardship part of jobs sometimes coldness in some departments like kit and blue,the most enjoyable part of the job is discipline at work  and good payment salary

Great company but the boss is very rude and should not be a boss other then that and some administration is okay don’t wait on the Resorhumain if they try to help you and take your side well they get put out or end up quitting for unknown reasons

The boss not he’s place  shouldn’t be there

Arguing with the boss that don’t know nothing and thinks he knows everything

Just like any other place, management has their favorites, low wage , go flip burgers for more money, Very poor communication if you work OT which is past 40 hours per week and not after 8 hour days, as it is 10 hour shifts and very rare get full 40 hour week, you do not get a break if you work OT past certain hours, Not a decent living wage, Asked to work longer, if you say no ,,they attempt to guilt you into staying longer, Want you to live for the company, Most fellow employees good to work with.
