Pros
Work from home during Covid, dress code, some co-workers, the actual job would be enjoyable if there were enough staff to make the workload feasible. They treated the staff well at the beginning of Covid and while other companies were going back to work in the Spring/Summer of 2020 Veranova kept the work from home arrangement.
Cons
Underpaid (far below industry standard), under appreciated- you are expected to do the workload of three people with constant coverage for other staff and then reprimanded for not having everything done, questionable “policy” around inflating vendor invoices to trick clients into having things inflated twice, worry over loosing job for the smallest reason, worry over being in legal trouble over invoice tampering, the field inspectors are treated as inferior and not compensated fairly, benefits package seems great at first but is a total rip off and you end up paying way too much - there are so many cons. Such a toxic environment.
Advice to Management
1) remove the mandatory invoice tampering policy
 2) reward and recognize employee efforts
 3) increase pay to reflect the scope of work required, at least to industry standard
 4) treat field inspectors better - they really are what keeps the company going

The only good thing about this job is the work life balance and dress code.
The salary is far below the standard norm and the workload is unmanageable.
You are always covering for other coworkers and consistently doing the workload of 2-3 workers. It is completely impossible to do your job efficiently and you will get reprimanded for everything with absolutely no reward or recognition for hard work.
Job security is questionable, at best. Most people I worked with were scared of losing their job on a daily basis. The turnover is horrendous and they go through many lay offs, with no good reasoning in their choices. 
Micromanaged, condescending, negative, clique environment that isn’t worth any amount of money, let alone the minuscule amount they give you. Terrible company. 

A typical day at work would be review clients request via email. Check you your reminders set for each file and proceed accordingly.
I learned from Veranova how the relocation department is managed and knowledge of service agreements. 
The management at Veranova Properties was good. We would excursions with fellow employees which was nice to mingle and get to know each other better aside from work. The culture in the company was good. The hardest part of the job was if a contractor didn't do a great job it made Veranova look bad in the eyes of the client. However we did always make sure the issue was resolved quickly. The most enjoyable part of the job was working as a team when needed with my co-workers.

I worked at veranova properties in Dartmouth. I can confirm that staff is always walking on eggshells in fear of losing their job. Morale was extremely low when I worked there. Management would find small reasons and even fabricate reasons for you to lose your job. 
I witnessed this numerous times with new employees on their probation/training periods. If management did not like you for any reason, regardless of job performance.. they would make up a reason to fire you during your probation period so they would not have to give a reason for dismissal. 
I left on my own accord after a year of working there as I could not handle the atmosphere any longer.

Management does not support their employees. They pile on way more work than an above average speed person can handle and don’t care when you are stressed out. I worked extra all the time and could never get caught up and when I expressed my concerns they pushed me in a corner until I couldn’t take it anymore then fired me with very little explanation as to why. Then when you think you have still too much work they will get rid of ppl and pile on more work. For the most part loved the people I worked with but had no support from management. 

The head office in Toronto are not team players. They make decisions based on personal information and don't give gratitude or acknowledgment to the people who help the company grow or stay on track. Turnover is high and an overall unprofessional company to work for. Workplace culture is non-existent and the mission statement is basically just another poster on the wall.

Horrible horrible place to work.

Management is too busy looking for their employees flaws rather than thanking them for all their hard work, overtime and management of files. 
No support from the management team-it is clear that they have not sat in our position and completed what we do in a day nor are they willing to learn or direct us

You start out enjoying your work, then you get more and more thrown at you at one point i was doing enough work for three employees, then you ask for help from your team lead and get told to get help from a coworker instead. If you are not in with the crowd you are nothing management favors their friends and will cut you lose with no second thought.

If you want too much work, for basically minimum wage, and to be treated poorly, this would be great fit for you. You can pay your bills, work extra hours, and loose a part of your sanity daily. 

I am shocked to see so many negative reviews here. This was one of the best places I have worked for. Friendly staff, helpful management. We had frequent lunches and different celebrations all the time.  It was a great experience working for Veranova. I would work for them again in a heartbeat.
