One of the most exciting aspects of working at Vessel Packaging is the opportunities for growth. The company offers many opportunities for employees to develop new skills and advance in their careers. The management team is committed to helping each employee reach their full potential and provides regular feedback and support to help employees reach their goals.

I have personally seen my colleagues receive promotions and move into leadership positions within the company. The supportive and collaborative culture of the company is what makes it possible for employees to achieve success and grow within the organization.

Overall, I feel that Vessel Packaging provides a unique and supportive work environment that truly values its employees and encourages growth. It was  a wonderful experience working there and I enjoyed the lunch BBQs, which provide a fun and relaxed setting for employees to bond and get to know each other outside of work. 

My reason for leaving was to a pursue passion project. 

You will be sweet talked and given things like "team bondings" and "quarterly bonuses" only to have your hours cut to 3 days a week and watch your co workers be walked out of the place after being promised that there will be no firings and there will always be work. Management is as narcissistic as they come, smiling at you while stabbing you in the back at the same time. Private conversations are made public for all to know. They will claim to want you to move up in the company for yourself when it's only because they get a bonus when you do. You will be doing electrical and mechanical (things way beyond your job grade) work for min pay because they won't hire qualified technicians to do the proper jobs. This used to be an amazing place to work before egos and tricorbraun took over. Avoid at all costs. 

Long weekends! The days are long and start early, but as a result you get your hours and have short weeks with weekends off always. You get to travel and see beautiful parts of BC and meet all kinds of people in the craft beverage industry. The way promotions work is by skillset, not longevity. To get to the next level all you need to do ask for the training and take the test. The people are cool and it's still a growing company. Great benefits program with health spending money (basically covers your ski pass every year!). The canning crew is a tight crew and because of the grind we all became friends. There are other opportunities within the company and most that start out through canning have the most success!

- Communication was an important factor in achieving daily production goals especially when when orders arrive last minute.
- "Work Hard. Play Hard" should be written on their door!
- I learned that no team or crew can be the best at what they do if not everyones on board. I learned a great deal not only better understanding warehouse production but working with others and developing strong social skills in the work place.
- Management. Very caring and an open door policy makes for welcoming ideas or communicating concerns comfortable.

Positive work culture. Diverse team.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The job/task itself has stressful components. When the machines are being finicky and are having lots of issues it can become very frustrating.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s one of the best I’ve been at.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical mixture of fun and stress. Lots of good people and laughs but the job can get aggravating.

Working at West Coast Canning gives you the opportunity to work with many great breweries, wineries and cideries all over BC and AB. WCC offers a great benefits package, access to the best industry events and a positive working atmosphere. Employees are super passionate about what they do and that comes across in their day-to-day work.

People getting fired left right center all across locations. Got rid of some of the people that had so much potential for growth. As to how people get choosen for termination? Not a clue. They always give an excuse saying it had something to do with core values even though on paper says terminated without cause. L O L the company is a joke
