I had gone in for an interview for a specific role.  Interview was a bit rocky with a language barrier but I was offered the job on the spot, however this is where the good ends.  When I started I had no materials / training / direction to go off of.  The software I specialized in they didn’t have despite giving a 2 weeks notice before working.  I was asked to do conflicting things / things that were not on the job posting.  I wasn’t there for long until I realized there was no room to grow or develop a career so I left after only a few days realizing it was a waste of time. Still no pay for the time I had put in for and I don’t expect anything.
I can see why there are so many job postings cause it is not a well established place and I assume people come and go quite often.  The whole operation feels “thrown together” with little cohesion.  Employees were nice but didn’t seem like they wanted to be there.  Management wasn’t all that helpful either as I couldn’t get any real answers from anyone there.
Overall I would not recommended until things on the management level change.

When I worked for viceroy I was a laborer and made it to lead hand, then started to get contracts once they knew I could handle myself. Which was so much more work. The work was nice calculating materials and estimating was a great change, very rewarding. the work was so rewarding. the pay was not, every time you billed them they wanted to negotiate no matter how much the job costed in materials/fuel or whatever expense. They were my very first encounter of what I like to call a grinder. I would start negotiating every time i finished a job. They even took money off when I used them as a personal reference for getting a house. they would not pay over time when I worked hourly for them but want you to work 16 hour days if possible. be cautious working for these guys they are grinders.

This company is owned by a business from China now. It is a revolving door. That is why they always have job postings up because they can't keep employees. Sometimes they pay employees late. Suppliers are always complaining about not being paid. Suppliers will not do business with them unless they are paid up front now. Ownership is dishonest and very demanding. Management is not qualified. There is no chance of growth or advancement because the company is not growing or advancing. Coworkers were good people but very unhappy and had poor morale at work everyday. Overall a very miserable and stressful place to work. Pay rate was pretty good but you are always worried about being paid on time.

an absolutely amazing place to work! The atmosphere is a positive, uplifting, encouraging environment where there is a great balance of hard work, teamwork and laughter. Senior management are very kind, flexible, understanding, and strive to do their best for their employees. There are opportunities to help build your career, learn new skills and help with your personal development. My co-workers are always great to offer help and are supportive. There is a family atmosphere within the team and we enjoy working together. I am proud to be a part of a growing and motivating team!

I had a good time working at viceroy homes because I had good hours and nice coworkers. The work wasn't too physically demanding and the overall feel of the place was pretty laid back. The management was great and let me book time off when I needed it which was really nice. The hardest part of the job would have to be any time the line would speed up and we were rushing to meet production deadlines and the most enjoyable was being able to listen to the radio while working to take your mind off the work and pass time quicker.

This company feels like it’s in the third world !. 
Here’s why. 
Chinese owners are thieves and went as fare as stealing 940 dollars off my last paycheque and when I asked why, they said because they just didn’t want to! 
They never even asked or wanted my social insurance number, but deducted tax. They also owe hundreds of thousands to there suppliers and robbed many of them too.

Worked in Port Hope office. Had to report to 3 different people that all wanted and had different ideas on how the place should run. Still owed 1.5 months of salary. So are many other people I know. The folks that worked there were great, and truly good people. Management was/is lost and unqualified.

If you like doing rewarding work, and getting paid. This is not the place for you.

When Viceroy was a family owned company it was great.  Business got sold then sold again.  The owners filed for bankruptcy and many didn't get paid.  Some took a job again after company opened under new name but some of the same people still in charge.  Still employees have missed pay periods since going back.

This was a good learning experience on heavy machinery in an industry I always wanted to work in.  It taught me many things about manufacturing and challenged me daily.  It is not for someone who isn't willing to get their hands dirty/

At the beginning, it's really a good job. Over 50 employees and good team. First 3 month is ok. After that, some financial problem for the company and we got delay paid and even can't get paid. The company closed around 6 month later.
