Summit camps is the catering company for Victoria Gold Corp. Food is absolute garbage. 
Payroll should be fired multiple employees have wrong pay or missing hours every payday and are still withholding overtime hours from them.
Management clearly has no idea what’s going on. Fly days you travel all day getting into camp and go right to work after arriving in camp( sometimes a 24 hour day)
Any repair on equipment is done as cheaply as possible most parts are unavailable and everything is scabbed together. 

No tools to get your job done. Shifters think they are almighty god.

No vacation pay (vacation pay is included in your pay lol) 

No RRSP matching (will tell you they do though) 

Company has been good to me. Steady progression, good remuneration and a seemingly consistent bonus payout. Has growing pains being a startup company, but that will hold true for most any jnr companies getting fired up, especially in a pandemic. It is remote and a pretty basic camp, but is relatively clean and comfortable. 14x14 shift. There are easier sites to get to with better camps, but this is offset with higher pay. Foods decent, and the people are great which makes it enjoyable. If your looking for a camp gig where your travels coordinated and paid for this is a good place to work. If you are a whiney, complainer. You will not do well here and should evaluate other opportunities. 

Their mining equipment is relatively new. I found the vast majority of people that work their were friendly and cooperative. The pay is decent for the industry but could be a little better. Camp food was great but the rooms are dated and very basic. Extremely slow internet in camp can make the isolation more difficult. The camp and mine are located in a beautiful area and there's a walking trail but the rules for it's use were too restrictive. You would have to walk with a partner, carry a radio, bear spray, and a reflective vest.

Dusty working conditions, camp infested with mold. Disregard for safety

People were great, management dismal

Wake up, wishing I were elsewhere, drive up the hill, sit in a disgustingly filthy lunchroom and complain about non existent safety

Pay check, the guys on my shift are good to work with

Travel, 3 planes and a 2 hour bus ride. You lose almost 2 days of your time off

I’d say it’s fairly disorganized, lots of rules, they pick and choose who they will enforce them on

As a mechanic in HD shop, lots of just changing oils and filters

Victoria Gold is a terrible company to work for. The working conditions are unacceptable, with long hours and dangerous conditions on the mining site. The employee turnover rate is a staggering 40%, which speaks volumes about the company's treatment of its workers. The HR department is also a nightmare, with reports of missing time off paychecks and employees being required to travel on their own time and expenses to and from the mine, including regular overnight stays. Avoid working for this company at all costs.

The lack of leadership and how leadership took no responsibility

Work environment was ok and culture was ok. Preference went to natives and females

Just a topical day try to do the best to get jobs done

Was a contractor though bullitt staffing. Had no problems with the management or work environment there. It was in it 2 year of production so it a start up mine. It was getting better there every set. The only problem was when you do cross over reports and the pervises  set did do things right and you report it they employees complain and get rid of the guys doing there job. 
I would go back at anytime as a employee of the Mine.

Go there for the experience if you are new or a beginner in the industry, then when you gain experience go to another mine. The accommodations are ok, the food was ok, internet worked well in some areas and terrible in others. Supervisors were hit or miss as far as working with them, socially they were better. The biggest issues I had were a few safety issues that were always brought up, but never addressed and the way they do payroll.

Due to area being remote..  hard to get parts to fix or maintain equipment. Food shortages very high turn over rate. People who have been here for a bit work well together. Weak management no accountability.. they play the pass the blame card alot which really hinders morale. Has the potential to be an amazing mine.
