I worked in the Information Technology department.  The company was great to work for; offering a decent salary, benefits and career advancement opportunities.  From the time I started with the company; everyone was very friendly and willing to assist me in getting comfortable in my new role.  The HR Manager always took the time to listen/speak to me in the event I wanted a second opinion on proposed IT improvements.  I left the organization to pursue another career; in a different industry.
I would go and work for the company (provided the HR Manager who assisted me in the past was still there) again..

No management at this operation other than a relative from the main facility in Ontario with zero experience in the truck industry creating a revolving door of employees and unhappy customers.

Product that is being supplied is plagued with problems due to inexperienced staff. Company is not seeking experienced trades people as they will not pay the industry standard wages. Most projects are handled on a trial and error bases creating numerous unsatisfied customers and problematic systems. 

Calgary operation will not last long before it closes its doors. 

Not the best shop to work, if you have tickets they definitely pay low, not much room to grow, management would rather get rid of people than work with them. The owner outsources most work and threatens to lay people off constantly. Never clear instruction on your job, as long as you look busy they are happy 

Viking-Cives is a well established manufacturer with a long history of growth and expansion.  Many long term employees and a fairly good company culture.  Not afraid to embrace new technology and expand into new markets.

I enjoyed my stay with Viking Cives but had to relocate otherwise I would not have left. My job was in mechanical maintenance which I love. The management were good people and the Human Resource Manager was a class act.

Good old fashioned hard work for good pay however management treat you like equipment.

The workers are quite kind and helpful but like most small town metal shops they always find out about your personal life.

This place will drive you crazy  if you have any desire or ambition for mobility. Poor training or no training for their management. Lousy work environment. Very little opportunity for women. Highly disorganized. It's just a paycheck. 

The work is pretty straightforward as assembly shops go.probably the worst managed company I have ever worked for.lacked leadership for on the floor employees.would not encourage anyone to apply if you are looking for a career your just a number at viking cives.

I love running the Brake press, its kind of like an art itself. Takes some skill, and there's a lot of safety and experience behind the press.

Toxic work environment, bullying and demeaning attitudes towards one and another take place consistently .
I don't have many positive reviews other than it is a paycheck at the moment for me.
