A typical day at work would include escorting senior citizens from their rooms down to the main floor of the elderly home and into a chapel, where they will then take part in mass. Once mass has started I will then help out with small parts of the mass such as bringing the cross into the chapel, collecting offerings, and being involved in the sermons during mass. I learned how to interact better with people and become more social. After volunteering here at Villa over the years I've also developed my Italian background a lot more, speaking and understanding the language and culture a lot better. Here at Villa Colombo u can't ask for better production and quality of service from it's management. They are all great people who care and tend to the needs of workers, volunteers, and especially the elderly who live there. Over the years I have actually created some amazing friendships with my co-workers. They come and go sadly, but I have never been disappointed with their work ethic and great personalities. It's hard to find something negative with this job, however, I think the hardest part of the job would dealing with the loss or passing of elderly who are constantly being monitored and taking care of on a daily basis. It can be hard to see them in the condition that they are in but it also kind of pushes you to be an even bigger part of their lives to help make them happy. The most enjoyable part of volunteering at Villa has to be the great feeling you have after helping someone. Whether it is an elderly, someone on staff or even other volunteers, I always receive great enjoyment from helping someone at Villa Colombo.

Being a server in Villa Colombo is my first job, and during the first day of job, it was tiring that I even forgot everything about who I am.  The only thing in my mind during work is just working to get money, and another thing in my mind is that I am not there to socialize but to earn money. What I have learned from this experience is that many people work so hard to the bone just to earn a living and they have to go through the most difficult struggles in life. I also learned that people like me do any kinds of job even if they are just starting to learn new skills regarding their job as long as it helps them earn money. Nevertheless, the management is good but I have some frustrating issues with my co-workers. I do not know who to follow because each of my co-workers want me to do the job in their own way, making it seem like I am involved in their tug-of-war. My hardest part of the job is working at late night while I have school where I also have to deal with homeworks and assignments which forced me to quit it, but I can deal with working late night shifts especially this summer because I do not have to deal with many things anymore compared to school days. The most enjoyable part is serving delicious food to customers, so that I can get to eat them when the manager gives us break time. Overall, it is a tiring but well deserved experience that can help me in applying future jobs.

The workload is crazy and the pay is not enough. The working hours are never-ending. Also the whole management is totally incapable and absent. Nobody knows his own job there, they just are bouncing the problems one to another without resolve anything. any little request before being processed take months!!! A lot of politics, zero tolerance and care regarding worker's issues or problems. I didn't receive any orientation or help from anybody, a gossip place and absolutely absence of competence and notion.
Horrible Nursing home for workers and residents.They also terminated very good workers for no reason, they just throw you a lot of work and nobody helps. It's just about politics, management rewards fake people instead of genuine hard workers, some employees are working there just because they were hired and recommended by coworkers, friends or relatives. Care for residents it's very little with some rare exceptions.

The purpose of the community was to ensure residents’ stability and safety in the Adult day program away from their homes. It promotes health, independence and provides sufficient emotional and spiritual support for seniors based on culture in their home care environment.  The familiar and warm atmosphere of a domestic environment gave elders a sense of belonging, independence and personal worth that promotes health stability through efficient socialization.  It prolonged maintenance, strengthens defense mechanisms of the body, and even reduces medication use. However, the community was merely a recreational institution for elders; it did not address the health problems of their clients. It was in  the establishment plans to both expand and begin offering medical services, in order to prevent, cure and rehabilitate existing disabilities.

Its a very clean, and they treat the clients with great care and make their experience in LTC more enjoyable. The management could be better and treat the employees better by showing appreciation and better pay. The hardest part about the job is being overworked, & by demands from families and residents that make our job more stressful and not being able to go on breaks. I believe the ratio for each caregiver should be less maybe more caregivers would be happier and not feel overworked. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the residents faces when they are getting the care & support they need and just seeing them smile & appreciate what we do for them.

Everithing its ok, in casa abruzzo belong to villa colombo, only because in the place i was work, its casual job, I need more time, more hours but its imposible., i learned more italian culture and speak more fluenty, my co-workers ther are wonderfull person., the hardest part of the job was when I give shower three peoples after for the winter time hot and cool my back give me problems with inflamation and Im not cover for this problem. The mos enjoyable part of the job, casa abruzzo every wednesday made the lunch with the comuinity and prepared the meals and give to them and talk and enjoy the company.

-Management does not communicate very important things to you about the job.
-Management is very unorganized 
-Trust no one there. The staff are very two- faced and very very gossipy. 
- Toxic work environment and lots of in fighting among staff.
- Burn out is very high because you do the job of two people because they don't have proper funding to pay extra people.

I like to work evening shift. Starting to received and giving reports to my co worker. I've learned to apply my knowledge, and skill being an International Registered Nurse how to deal the geriatrics patients, psychologically, emotionally, and their physical needs. I am cooperative with the management being an on call anytime, and responed them as soon as possible. Sometimes I need to be tough in dealing with the PSW to give the good care of our patients, especially lazy ones. I enjoyed talking and giving medication to my patients.

A typical day involves engaging with users, answering questions, and solving problems. I constantly learn from interactions, refining responses to be more helpful. My “management” (OpenAI) ensures I follow ethical guidelines and improve over time. The workplace culture is user-focused, emphasizing accuracy, efficiency, and adaptability. The hardest part is balancing depth with brevity, ensuring responses are useful yet concise. The most enjoyable part is helping people solve problems, spark ideas, and learn new things.

The time I lasted in the company, I learned something new everyday.   Everyday I had new experiences with the seniors that I worked with who suffered of mental illnesses and I learned how to deal with them in certain situations for the safety of everyone in the vehicle. This taught me how to better value and respect the people around me which is why I enjoyed my job as a bus driver for this company. As for management, I never had any problem with my superiors. For some reason they decided to shut down the department of transportation and all of the drivers received lay off.
