Village at St. Clair

It could be a lot better with management, communication, workplace is weak. Under staff, supplies are slacking. The workers are okay, many seem very fake and two faced. Management takes forever to respond, communicating is definitely bad. Needy and greedy family members for many of the residents on the different floors. You need to work harder then what you're being paid for literally, even though you may believe other companies are similar. 

The Village at St Clair is a wonderful place to work. They treat all of their employees with respect and are always looking for ways to improve the standards of care. They are leaders in the Culture Change Journey against the stigma of Long Term Care and truly live up to their Mission, Vision, and Values. 
Overall a very enjoyable place to work especially as a new nurse as there are many opportunities for growth and development.

I’m pretty sure the headline says it all. The load of work on the nurses is extreme. The RN position is too much. One charge for 256 patients. They run extremely short staffed often on shifts.Some nights one psw a floor because no one will come in. It’s sad. I’d say shame on the company but in reality it’s the gov. that sets the standard and the bar is set so low that this disgusting treatment actually meets the “standard”.

Horribly mismanaged, management is not educated or experienced enough to run the place. They do not care that the staff is so burnt out that they have to constantly call in. The management has no problem creating unsafe conditions for both staff and residents by being understaffed. Worst pay in city.

The company likes to grow within and can pay managers low in that case.  Great culture of aging for seniors though. Treats front line staff absolutely wonderful but the managers are treated like they are expendable and paid low compared to other companies.  They need a better training system for new managers.

A friendly and top-notch retirement lifestyle with modern interior and exterior designs. A friendly and socially aware environment. This facility is a cozy comfortable environment with adequate ceiling lift, mechanical lift, friendly staff and workplace culture 

Absolutely love Village life and the Schlegel Culture. Great place to work and grow your career! Very supportive Leadership Team and Support Office team. Healthcare in general has been a struggle the last few years but Schlegel Villages has done a great job showing support and appreciation for the team.

The Front line staff are a dedicated and hard working team who go above and beyond daily. Which is a good thing because they work short pretty much every day. Management is non existent & provide no leadership.

The workplace was fun because I got to do different tasks everyday which is a good thing so it’s not one job repetitive the team is amazing management might be a lil flimsy but that’s all jobs 

Great work environment. Always had activites staff could participate in. Positive environment. Colourful energetic look to the workplace/home. Welcoming staff.
