Working at Vitrum was one of the worst professional experiences I've ever had. I cannot stress enough...do not work here, no amount of money is worth it. Upon handing in my resignation, I was offered more money and any other position I wanted. Was even offered to work at any of the sister companies, but respectfully declined. 

- management loves to start confrontation between employees. They will manipulate you to turn on each other, making the environment extremely competitive and stressful.
-everyone is miserable. If you are looking for a fun environment and want to enjoy the company of your co-workers, do not work here.
-working conditions are horrible. Bathrooms are disgusting, offices are a mess. There is only ONE janitor to maintain 3 massive buildings...and his cleaning supplies are cringe worthy.
I could go on and on...

I am immensely proud to be part of Vitrum Industries Ltd., and my experience has been exceptional.

From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by both my colleagues and the management team.

Regular check-ins and town hall meetings create a sense of unity and shared purpose, making me proud to be part of a company that values its people.

I am grateful for the opportunities for growth, the supportive work culture, and the inspiring leadership. I am excited about the future here and look forward to many more years of success and collaboration. Thank you for making this past year an incredible journey!


Worked in Production. Job was super easy. Low expectations and almost no supervision. A lot of standing around or just doing nothing. Nobody really cares about much there not even managers. Its a company wide culture thing. 

The pay was barely above minimum wage and rises were like $0.22 per year. Dental was so expensive it wasn't even worth it. So even though the work was a bit of a joke, the pay was so low it wasn't really worth it in the end. Even the managers aren't paid very much. A lot of them still take the bus or drive really old beat up cars. So its definitely not a place that attracts good people with wages.  

If you are just starting out in life, give it a try. If you really just want to stand there and not do much, give it a try. If you want to make some money or learn a good trade, I would avoid this company. 

Bad workplace and work environment.

Management makes an effort to take advantage of employees.

job security is actually pretty good due to high amount of people quitting.

Job culture is horrible and no efforts are made to look after employee essentials. Everyone coasts by. Company runs in two modes, the do nothing mode or the emergency rush #1 priority mode.

Work life balance is sub par. They expect you to never refuse to work "optional" overtime and your job security will be threatened if you refuse. No respect for personal life or personal time. Understaffed.

Will not keep promises or follow through with what they say they will do with money, training, help, or support. 

Company has no respect for hard work or it's people.

This is a good place to work, even if you come in with little to no experience, if you pay attention, you will be very well trained in no time. There is room for advancement in almost every department, should you have the skills to get yourself noticed. The managers are always nearby to help you if you need it, and the more experienced workers are always willing to lend a hand. Very friendly staff, it doesn't take long to feel right at home in the lunchroom, All you need to do to secure your job here is show up everyday, and do what is expected of you.

I learned very fast that employee safety and well being was not a concern. Injuries were constant with many employees. management looked down to those who questioned safety concerns. Constant use of fear in the workplace with those who were not well aware of safe conditions. I would not recommend. those who did injure themselves would be questioned about the legitimacy of the injury. the manager actually called me a liar when I pulled a muscle and provided evidence, he refused to allow me to do light work aggravating the injury even more.

One of the most disorganized, micromanaged and unfulfilling place I’ve ever worked in, you will almost always be overworked without any thought to personal life. Upper management is full of reactionary attitudes and actions without any signs of critical thinking or improvement to important issues and very little accountability. There is little to no transparency when it come to anything. Unless you have nothing else it’s probably worth looking elsewhere. 

This is a highly broken organization. An owner that issues impossible directives despite expert opinion to the contrary. When the impossible orders fail miserably, he blames department heads and middle management for the failure. Its an unwinnable situation. Low pay, terrible retention, and no effort to correct anything. 

Perhaps the least productive year I have ever spent in the workforce. 

This is a top down place where confusion is the normal state. If there is a plan you would never know it. Raises are infrequent and low. Internal advancement is rare as they are constantly hiring from outside to replace all the smart employees who leave. I did and best move I ever made. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. 

Nice place to work but it is hard to get an increase in your pay. You need to ask for it. Here in Calgary management is weak in implementing company policy.
And during winter, it is hard to get inside the premises because the company doesn't clear the snow off the grounds before the employees come in.
Even if the parking areas are full of snow, the company won't do anything. They will just wait for the sun to melt the snow away.
