The company adopts a no time off without pay policy and forces you to use vacation days if you become ill , middle management and upper management have a huge disconnect and upper management is unaware of what middle management does , If you try to bring any of these issues to light to upper management, middle management will write you up , they force their employees to come to work sick and or unfit for duty or else risk losing their employment ,  They do not care about their employees and belittle and yell at them in front of everyone . Horrible place to work with even more horrible management .

This reputable company once hired the worst middle management of all time. Earned sick time were dissolved just because. They brought in friends and relatives, promoted some of them even when not qualified for the position. In order to cut costs they laid off most of the seniors and skilled people but in contradiction they bought brand new expensive equipments. They got too insecure, "silently firing" people whom they thought were a threat to them. At some point the universe bit these bad seeds back and were given a dose of their own medicine.


In the years worked at Volant, I can count on one hand the number of people who quit on their own accord. Everyone else was terminated. They terminate employees and then pay them out with a severance to cover their own butts. They don't give verbal warnings and write ups. Just get rid of people even long time employees. Corporate directors walk around and stare at your monitors to see what you are doing. New HR department is a joke. So much paranoia among employees wondering if they will be fired. Not a happy place to be.

Started off good, great co-workers, employer cared, and listened.
Then he quit, and it all fell apart.
They would ask you to do something different, then yell at you when it was acheived. Go back to old way.
Tool box meetings were all about what everyone did wrong.
Management caught lying multiple times, employees who point it out were subsequently let go.
Very much like workers who are loud about complaining, while tearing down the ones who simply solve the problems.
Women beware working here!!

Very incompetent gate keeping middle management. If they feel threatened by your skill and ability surpassing theirs, they will throw you under the bus as "bad attitude" 

Not to mention being put on work share to avoid a layoff, only to be laid off anyways. Holding company meetings at shift end, and not paying employees for time. 


Management keeps everything secret, and the meetings are a waste of time. The only way you know that the company isn't doing well is when they start to fire/layoff people. Job security is nonexistent, you are just a number on their payroll list.

Management says we're a family and we're a team but they don't treat you with respect and they don't treat you as a family. They could care less about you as an employee and as a person. 

Front line technology. Very innovative exciting work. Not just Threads or flanges. 
Company keeps you well informed and likes your feedback. 
Profit share if things are good and an extra week of vacation plus Xmas week off with pay. Learn and try new things everyday. 

Volant is cpmpany that has gone through growth and continues to work through challenges that come with that. They are a local company withworld wide sales.

Very clean place to work as a shop especially Lunchroom is like a Five Star hotel.  However should you get injured even if it was not caused by you,  you're on the line of getting fired.
