Work mostly in Hydro substations with voltage there’s always lots to learn
Workplace culture I found that if you didn’t know, then they didn’t take the time to teach you to better you as a person and worker(Or maybe they just didn’t like me because that situation got me laid off would’ve taken me 10 minutes to show me what to do and I could’ve done it. I don’t think they treated that situation very professionally.) hardest part of the job always been away from home most enjoyable getting paid lifting heavy 

Great experience but if you're not in the clique you won't get called back or offered permanent work, unless your family or from another province. Much favoritism and rewards for bad behaviour and the safety of all employees, the client and sub-contractors are a major concern.

My time with Voltage was one of my favourites, I learned a lot from my crew and even taught back what I was shown to others on their turn around. The work day was a 12hr period but the hours flew by as you focused on your work. They offered free lunch, and even gave me a company truck while I was employed with them. Needless to say, it was a great place to work.

A typical day at work involved meeting up with the foreman and get our tasks for the day. Get the materials needed and complete the task. I learnt time management and the grounding grid at Voltage  Power. Hardest part of the job was working out of town for 21 days and back for 7.

Worked with Voltage on BiPole 3, very disorganized and little accountability, employees give second and third chances after being caught using drugs and drinking at work. Lots of turn over and very little processes in place. Pay was good. Most employees are related which makes for an unprofessional work environment.

Rarely are washrooms provided on the jobsite. you may have to travel long distances to use a restroom or do your business in the bush.

Camp conditions were horrible. Voltage did not own the camps.

The union agreement for powerline work in Manitoba is lacking Pension

Working with voltage power was fun and I enjoyed it a lot. Because you get to meet lots of new people and overall it’s just fun work and I like it cause working outdoors is fun for me.!!? 

great place to work, new company so it still has some rough edges. Wage is good, shift work is usually 21 days on and 7 days off. great job for single men or men who enjoying working away from home

Then our line ups what unit numbers we be using today and our job scope for the day 
Good safe and productive company

Very good safe working environment fun people to work with good management and plenty of work. Awesome to work with friends and family. The only problem is takes long to get back at when you’re trying to get a hold of them.
