Very professional law firm. When I was originally employed, I noticed that there were many people working their for most or all of their careers. I believe that speaks volumes for a company and I thought if I had joined the firm many years ago, I may have been one of them.
The training was second to none and the people, for the most part, were always appreciative of any help given.

Very long hours, from the moment you get in you will be on the go.
The management tries but think they are facing limited resources in doing their job.
Big push to promote from within.
Culture is very cliquey so be careful whom you befriend. 
Never enough time to do everything.
The people I work with are the best and put their best forward.

This is a firm that cares for their staff. Lunches, coffee breaks and recognition was given on a weekly basis and the HR department was always open and ready to listen to any suggestions. Everyone, including the lawyers, is friendly and supportive.

Lawyers sometimes cross the practice area's guidelines
Feels more like a boutique firm than a corporate firm
Hard to work due to lack of procedures and policies
Recently changed management is introducing new concepts

Took care of contacting corporations as well as residential customers to obtain payment for the Legal services that were provided by the lawyers.  Worked with Assessment officer to submit proper information to the courts for court hearings.

Run for the hills unless you are working for a supportive lawyer.  Some senior assistants can be bullies.   The morale and culture went downhill. Keep looking for another position.

Not an ideal place to grow. Good to gain some experience and then to move on very small IT team and skill set required is very limited and so is the growth. It’s stressful most of the time and not really great perks.

Stimulating and conducive to building a career.  Great environment.  Committed to learning and education for its stuff.  Great wholesome culture.

Lots of mentoring, social events, professional challenging, amazing firm! I enjoyed my time there I only left because I left Toronto. I made amazing friends and learned a lot

Some nice people, some are not. Not collaborative enough.  Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.  If you get the right people to work with great. Accounting dept is severely understaffed.
