WESTWARD ELECTRIC

Receiving work orders from Clients and from the Operations manager - inputting payables with mark up - having the cost analysis up to date for all jobs daily. Ensured work was completed, supplies were used and received by the customer, ensured any discounts or additional mark ups were added to the billing.
Invoices were sent out via email weekly or upon completion of jobs -

Contracts were looked over ensuring all mandatory guidelines were met for both Westward Electric and Customer.

Office Manager was easy to work with and very efficient making sure communication was key to our success and forward moving projects.
Coworkers were trustworthy and reliable, making the day move along easily with little to no confusion processing information from payables, to payroll and time sheets for me to ensure billing was promptly and properly issued.

Hardest part of the job was obtaining all information from customers - via "verbal contracts" and Contract modifications. - Because it was a very busy company - sometimes had to take certain jobs into my own hands in order to have the billing done properly and clearly.

Most enjoyable part was having personable connections with all outside offices and AP departments - Positive relationships internally and externally always made the day go smoothly and efficiently :)


Incompetent management and refusal of communication with the workers in the field make Westward a joke. Their crumbling projects and knuckle dragging leaders make employment less than desirable for any level of apprentice or higher. If your looking for any form of security or growth in your career, look elsewhere. The lack of professionalism is blatant. 

I got hired for 2 days then got laid off when I was promised by the interviewer there would be plenty of work and I met the criteria. How they treat you isn't so great. They wanted me to start Thursday which was fishy to begin with, but now I understand they only needed me for 2 days which is ridiculous. So they made an excuse not knowing full detail and laid me off- no hesitation. Don't work here if you got other offers, I declined many offers for this job. Got used and abused.

Work is pretty steady and I like it.  The trucks are new and they push for safety which is okay with me. They give you room to be independent so if you need a lot of direction this probably isn't a job for you. I like the site work and commercial stuff. Sometimes it gets hectic but I know what I have to do in a day.

Westward hired me on and put 100% faith in my knowledge and skill set. I was given the reins from day one. I felt more comfortable knowing I didn't have someone criticizing my every move and Westward was rewarded with a successful job completed above their standards and on time.

It’s a awesome place to work we are like family here we work together and they take care of the people they care about when help is needed help is given I can’t say anything bad because I’ve only had the best experiences with the company I’ve been with them for 4 years and still going strong I love my job 

most days were spent building a 1800 man work camp lots of fire alarm, distrubution and lighting. \
great team of guys when i worked there everyone got along

most enjoyable part was the work family we had while i was there

worked as Mobile AC mechanic for 3 months. Fellow workers great but shop management incompetent no support. Did not receive pay stubs for  8 weeks and no vacation or stat pay.Union is great solved pay issues but company is broke.Run the other way

horrible work enviroment, treated employees like garbage, you were only a number on paper to them. didnt care about you at all. no warning when lay offs when they knew all along, dont reccomend working here,. they butchered the hillview job

CEO was good, office management was a total train wreck, some of the other workers were alright to work with, however there was a very high rate of overturn due to poor morale and poor treatment of workers.
