WHEATON HONDA

started at Wheaton Honda and was trained really well for the first week by an older coworker who was leaving. That gave me a good foundation, and I was excited to learn and grow as a new service advisor since I genuinely enjoyed working with customers.

After that, though, my training experience went downhill. When I was assigned to learn under Megan and Freddy, I often felt like they didn’t really care about helping me succeed. Freddy would tell me to “figure it out” when I asked for help, or he’d make me re-do things without properly explaining what I did wrong. As someone brand new to the service advisor role, that left me feeling overwhelmed and very stressed. Megan, instead of correcting me constructively, would often just yell or ask “why would you do this?”  which made me feel like I wasn’t part of the team at all.

I even spoke to the manager, Chris, to ask for more training support, but he didn’t seem to understand why I needed it. He told me the job was easy, but it’s not easy when you’re still learning and left alone in the office with customers asking for help. For example, I was once left to handle tire questions by myself without knowing what to do.

Overall, I can’t recommend Wheaton Honda as a good place to work because of the poor training and unprofessional treatment. The only positive highlight of my time there was Mark he was always outstanding and believed in me, and I truly appreciated that.

Hours are good, Christmas party is amazing, RRSP matching.

Commission sales, the regular car industry stress

Its a different fpr everyone depending on. your role

During my time at Wheaton Honda, I experienced a very supportive and friendly work environment.  Other team members would happily step in and assist others when they had to make changes to their work schedules due to appointments and other events.  As far as a sales environment goes, I can say it was much more supportive than most.

I would say it’s a good place to work and learn. I continue to gain valuable hands-on experience and develop my skills as a technician. The team environment is generally supportive, and there are opportunities to grow, especially if you’re motivated. Like any workplace, it has its challenges, but overall it’s a solid place to build experience in the automotive field

The sale team is more unstable because of commission base. But general the working experience was great. No stressful very much, and we have Sunday off which is awesome for family

Work environment is good but there is a dirty politics going on because of the management  because they all are child hood friends and had worked together for so long .
Every manager has its own favorites which is spreading negativity in other staff

Management prioritizes numbers over individual development. Empty promises and reneging on commitments are commonplace, Favouritism is a persistent issue.

Manager actually teach me a lot of things about sales. Everyone is good, no toxic people. Honda is a big brand so I have some sales pressure but it’s ok for me. Sometimes meet toxic customers but that’s not my manager can help. 

Monday to Thursday 6 Hours shift 
2nd Friday Day Off 
Work every Saturday 
Dealership  Closed on Sunday 

They have great tools to learn a new way of handling customers and sales.

Managers keep pilling extra work on top of your own work with no extra pay.  Way to much favoritism.  Managment is a joke, they turn a blind eye on rules.
