WS STEEL

Have so many questions as to why I was there for 10 years. Should have left long time ago. Worked my axx off for less than acceptable pay while others slacked off and climbed the ladder for no reason other than they were supposed to be treated “equally”. This is all that I saw but I know for sure that there was really low standards when it came to decision making. The management was only there to collect there paychecks and scroo the pooch.

I love welding but when it came to welding for ws it was painful.  They expected more than is possible in an 8 hour shift, especially when they give you worn out jigs to use.  The benefits there were a joke and you have to pay for most of the benefit package.  Layoffs are also quite frequent at ws steel.  So if you need a friendly reliable place to work than ws steel is not the place for you. 

They love to do massive hiring when they are busy and then when slow season comes they fire higher waged staff.
Busy environment lots of work to do.
They have welding training courses for people to have growth in their business.
Family oriented place. They strive on spending extra time with your Family

Management treats you like disposable garbage. The expectations of you go change every other day. The people that work on the floor are friendly and helpful. You don't really get trained just thrown into the shuffle left to figure things out on your own.


Everything at ws steel goes according to the schedule plus more bonus as well as company regulations on parts that are finished and unfinished. Work was based on team or get help from any supervisor or Lead-hand and because of this, it made everything easier and everyone comfortable 

They ask a lot while not giving the employees the proper equipment to do the job, and then get angry when we dont get enough done. Co-workers are great to work with but management need to learn how to run a company. The only good management is the original founder who passed away

The management at this company never tried to help me at all and would leave me in the dust, and treat me like a number rather than a person. Besides that, the people you work with are nice

Very intimidating, until you get to know the guys you work with.  Fun place to work with overtime if you want it. CG power division was fun, very care free and they demand high quality of work.

normal 8 hour days, i learned lots from the workers here, sadly i had to ask questions to get any tips, or else they just throw you into jobs you have never done without giving you any help. (learn as you go kind of company.)

Management   treats employees poorly    missing  everything  poor air quality  fellow workers nice  and now their installing 16 cameras to make it spy on employees and 
have not cleaned washrooms in two months .
