I have been in the field for over 10 years and I have worked at a lot of different places and environments, most leaving me completely burnt out, questioning my career choice, and frustrated. I have never been able to find an employer that aligns with my views, appreciates their employees and promotes a work life balance. That was until I started working at WCC. WCC treated me like family from day one, and I finally feel like I found my place.

Admin is very passionate about early childhood education, and so are the staff that work there. Everyone is so supportive of each other and understands the struggles that this field faces. We all work together and help each other out, and the children’s safety and learning are always number 1!

Something that has stood out for me at WCC is their encouragement in a work life balance. The admin team understands that we also have families and lives outside of work, and they understand if something comes up. They don’t make you feel bad for calling in sick, and always give time off for appointments. Past employers have made me feel guilty for taking days off for holidays or even calling in sick, which can be extremely stressful in a field where you are always exposed to germs. I had a complicated pregnancy and towards the end, I had a lot of doctor’s appointments. Admin gave me time off for each appointment, and never made me feel bad about it! I will always be extremely grateful for them during this time.

The children and families are one of the best parts about the job! They are all so kind, and it feels like a true community! The facility is also beautiful, it’s always so bright, airy and calming. The windows are huge and always let so much natural light in, which in my opinion makes such a huge difference in the atmosphere of the class. I have worked in places where classrooms are dark with little natural light coming in, and it can be really depressing and uninspiring for the teachers and the children.

Unfortunately gossip is at every work place, and generally the people who say the work environment is toxic, are usually the ones who are engaging in these behaviours the most. Like any work place, you get what you give.

When I do return to work at WCC, I am so happy that I will be able to bring my baby with me! Knowing he will be in a kind and loving classroom with some of the best educators as his teachers makes me feel so at ease.

I am truly lucky that I found WCC and it has changed my life for the better!

WWC has created the best of all inclusive learning environment for children, parents and educators. Management and the directors as well as the staff protray professionalism at all levels of interaction. The wellbeing of the staff, children and the parents is highly valued. Educators receive the best support needed for professional growth. The entire workplace is healthy and very responsive. Everyone is respectful and loving. I love working here. Within these past three months, I have experienced tremendous levels of professional and personal growth as an educator while working alongside with the amazing team of educators in WWC. I have no words to describe the joy, fulfillment and growth I am experiencing everyday. Seeing these amazing team of educators and the management team makes me want to come to work and give in my very best to support the world of ECC in the center. WWC is the only workplace that welcomes and implements inclusive education so far and we are ready to continue grow and become one of the best leading early learning environment that welcomes and appreciates diversity. 

Working at Walden Child Care has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for me over the past year and a half . What started as a part-time job quickly turned into a career change, thanks to the wonderful team, supportive owners, and exceptional management. Each day, I look forward to coming to work, knowing I'll be met with a clean, nurturing environment where the needs of the children are always prioritized. The inclusive atmosphere fosters a sense of belonging for both staff and children alike, creating a truly enriching experience. I'm constantly impressed by the dedication of our team to provide the best care possible, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. The owners' commitment to excellence sets the standard for childcare facilities everywhere, and I'm proud to be a part of such an outstanding organization.



I've had the pleasure of working at Walden Child Care, and I have to say it's a truly unique and wonderful place. What sets it apart from other childcare facilities I've worked at is the way they prioritize their staff. From the moment I started working there, I felt valued, supported, and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally. The management team is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always willing to listen to feedback and suggestions. They truly care about creating a positive and healthy work environment for everyone. I've never worked at a place where I felt so appreciated and respected as a staff member.

Hard work with little praise, low pay and frustrating co workers.
I learned that I will never work in such an environment again.
Management was knowledable, but didn't know the employees.
Toxic, unfriendly and childish work environment.
The hardest part of the job was to work with co workers that were demeaning and disgusting.
The most enjoyable part of the job were the children and most parents.
This place needs a good and thorough sweep to get all the childcare workers out that pester, demean and harass other co workers.
I am still extremely disappointed about mentioned experiences.

Typical day involves engaging with kids and organizing activities. I've learned patience, communication, and creativity. Management is supportive and responsive, fostering a warm, inclusive culture. The hardest part is managing multiple tasks, but the most enjoyable is seeing kids learn and grow!

It’s a remote area that’s why always have a time management

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Inspired by a Reggio Emilia approach and the management  is very supportive for trainings and letting the educators grow professionally. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Whole day of the week from Mondays thru Fridays

Walden child care has been one of my favourite places to work. You always feel welcomed, heard and cared about as an employee. Other staff are always jumping in to help one another with the children in care and for one another. Management is always there with an open door and ear to hear questions and or concerns and are quick to do the most they can for you! The children and parents at the centre are also so amazing! Lots of great relationships have been made my 4 months of working with Walden child care and I cannot see myself going to another company! 

Walden Child Care has been the best daycare I’ve ever worked at!  Everyone is super positive here and everyone is willing to help each other out! Programming expectations are high compared to other centres but that’s what makes Walden Child Care so great! Every educator strives for greatness and it’s wonderful to be surrounded by people who share the same passion and dedication for educating! The management is very supportive and is always open to hear suggestions staff have to make Walden Child Care even better! I’ve become a better educator since working here and hope to continue working here for a long time!
