Working at Weber Supply as a Safety Products Specialist / Key Account Representative has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Every day is fast-paced and engaging, as I get to work closely with customers to provide them with not only safety solutions but also MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and janitorial products. Whether I’m helping a company find the right PPE, sourcing industrial supplies, or ensuring facilities have the best cleaning solutions, every day presents a new and exciting challenge. 


This role has given me extensive knowledge in workplace safety, industrial maintenance, and janitorial solutions. I’ve gained a deep understanding of safety regulations, product sourcing, and compliance requirements, while also developing expertise in MRO supplies and facility management solutions. Additionally, my customer service and key account management skills have grown tremendously, allowing me to build lasting relationships with clients. 


The management team at Weber Supply is fantastic, they provide support, guidance, and the resources needed to succeed. They encourage professional development, welcome new ideas, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. It’s refreshing to work in an environment where leadership is truly invested in employee growth.

One of the biggest challenges is staying up to date with the constantly evolving landscape of safety regulations, MRO advancements, and janitorial product innovations. Customers rely on me to provide expert advice, so continuous learning is essential. However, this challenge also makes the job exciting and keeps me engaged. 

The best part of my job is helping customers find the perfect solutions for their businesses. Whether it’s enhancing workplace safety, improving maintenance efficiency, or ensuring a cleaner, healthier environment. Knowing that my work contributes to safer and more efficient workplaces is extremely fulfilling. Additionally, the relationships I’ve built with clients and colleagues make every day enjoyable.

A Typical Day at Work:
No two days are exactly the same. A typical day involves collaborating with colleagues, prioritizing tasks, and responding to both planned and unexpected needs. The pace is steady, and the work is meaningful, with clear expectations and achievable goals.

What I Learned:
I developed strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The role encourages ownership and accountability, which helped me grow professionally and gain a deeper understanding of how different functions work together to drive results.

Management:
Management is supportive, approachable, and knowledgeable. Leaders are clear in their expectations, fair in their decisions, and genuinely invested in employee development and long-term success.

Workplace Culture:

Hardest Part of the Job:
The workload can be demanding at times, especially during busy periods. However, the expectations are reasonable, and the team approach makes challenges manageable.

Most Enjoyable Part of the Job:
The most enjoyable part is working with a strong team and seeing the direct impact of your work. There is a real sense of accomplishment and pride in contributing to a company that values quality, relationships, and continuous improvement.

A typical day at work was different for everyone, and depending on your shift, whether you were full or part-time and who you were.

For me it was a long journey to work but I made the 2 hour commute every weekday (unless I was sick or on holiday). You would report to dispatch and they would assign you to a section depending on what you knew how to do, and you would get straight to work. You would have your breaks and continue working until the day was done, sometimes being moved to a different station or position like picking to packing or elsewhere. I learned picking, packing and putaway, and even though I wanted to learn more they didn't want to take the time to teach me because "I wasn't worth the effort" even though I worked there for almost a year. 

The hardest part of the job was probably some of the high places to reach, somethings were very heavy and having to dodge around management and they're mood swings. 

Management was an absolute mess, but they weren't always like that. When I first started they were kind and warm welcoming and one of them became a family friend, but then they started acting cold to everyone. They started to yell for no reason, lose they're temper and talk about us behind our backs. No longer were they kind and helpful but they were cruel, disrespectful and demeaning.

The best part was some of the people I met and being able to work with them for help, to train others, and to learn new things with them.

Focused Management team to be the best in the industry. Work / Life balance is encouraged and widely practiced. 
Many opportunities for advancement if you are willing to go the extra mile and put in the effort.
This company has been a leader in the industry for the Kitchener area for decades and will continue to do so with the focused direction of the new Generation. 
It is a pleasure to work for such a family orientated company that takes pleasure in every employees life and well being. 
Workplace culture is a strong focus and employees are treated fairly and respectively. 
I have worked at many companies that I have vested my time in that did not appreciate my effort but Weber Supply is not one of them. You are part of something greater than yourself and is very rewarding.
Work Can be difficult and sometimes stressful, but upper-management is not above putting on some work boots and getting into the thick of it. Many times I have worked shoulder to shoulder with the COO and CAO getting the job done for our customers. A true testament of how leadership should be.
You will not find a more forward thinking, well rounded company that truly is a pleasure to work for.

Working at Weber Supply has truly been an amazing experience from the moment I started, the culture has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. Management is outstanding, they genuinely care about their employees and make sure everyone feels valued and heard. 

The workplace truly does feel like family. Everyone is approachable, and you can always go to someone for help or guidance without hesitation. They provide opportunities to grow and develop and if you ever need support, resources, or tools they will make sure you get them right away. There is a strong sense of teamwork where your peers and leaders want to see each other succeed. 

I genuinely enjoy coming into work everyday. The environment is positive, encouraging, and enjoyable. It is the kind of place where you feel motivated and supported, which enhances your confidence and strengthens morale. 

Overall, it's a positive and uplifting environment where there is a sense of appreciation, support, and encouragement to succeed. I am truly grateful to be part of such a strong and encouraging workplace. 


Before working at Weber I had only done a couple months in a couple different warehouse settings. I was open and honest about this, but the interviewing staff reassured that they could train anyone who had the attitude that WANTED to learn, which is so true! The moment you walk through the doors you’re feeling welcomed. Everyone has a smile in their voice. There is lots of work to be done being a distributing company, and many different areas that you can advance in the company if you’re willing to learn and put in the work. 
They were open from the start what the hours and pay were. 
I would highly recommend the company for those who love to learn and work hard. 

A typical day at work provides me with ample challenges which I enjoy. There are plenty of opportunities for to take on more responsibility. Management is approachable and reasonable. They try hard to engage everyone by hosting fun food trucks during the summer and also look out for opportunities for development as well.  Management has also been open to new ideas through my tenure which has given me opportunities to develop my skills and knowledge and feel a great sense of accomplishment.

I love the hours, 8:00am-4:30pm. Richmond branch is a very friendly atmosphere with an open office environment. Can be fast-paced and challenging, at times, but, as a team-geared workplace, we all work together to complete tasks at hand. You get the chance to learn new things everyday. The company as a whole, supports many good causes, including their own annual charity In Company of Angels. You have that family based feel, but, its really, a large company. Management stays involved and shows not only they care for customers/workplace, but, for their employees, as well.

Very disorganized 
 Any hours over 37.5 a week is banked so no overtime pay and using banked hours can be difficult to do

I'm starting to believe weber supply should be unionized so the employees have someone fighting for them.  I've seen staff members get promoted and take on huge responsibility but not receive a pay increase. 

There is no typical day here at Weber. Every day presents new challenges, and there is always something to learn. Management is always there when you need a helping hand and the knowledge base in this company is second to none.  They always make you feel like you are part of the big Weber family. And it's the little things that make a difference, like presents for the young children, and treats when someone retires or celebrates a milestone. There is never a dull moment here and that makes the days go by fast. Sometimes maybe to fast.
