i worked there for all most 7 years and found that does not matter how hard you work there was no room for advancement do to the fact that they give leadership roles to the people who do the least work. When you bring up issues that they don't want to deal with your considered a trouble maker and you should just keep it to your self. Some individuals are only required the bare  minimum while others are expected to do twice the work because they can. When you see some managers spend most of there times sitting outside smoking and talking with there buddies, its a problem. What i learned from westech building products is its not what you know but who you know in this company to get advancement. Hardest part of the job is the 12 hour shift work and the best part is the days off. The HR person is only there to help the company but does not care about the employees and the problems they encounter.

The management team is horrible, they only care for their jobs not whats's good for the company and the employees. Ownership keeps stealing our benefits, no union, no voice. I don't know about any other jobs in this company but as a machine operator, they make you take most of the blames for their decrease in sales and products quality, even though your job is probably the hardest and the most physical demanding.
After all, if you have a choice, don't work here as an operator. If you don't believe me, on your first day, ask any of your peers one question, " ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR JOB?"

Good company to work for unless you've been there for yrs.Management are so so.Some what helpful but training sucks.
If you been there for yrs watch your back.If they let you go for no reason or your accused of something you didn't do they like to screw you over big time when they let you go for no reason.
Also be veryyyyy careful there's alot of rats running around at westech if you know what I mean.Just keep to yourselve mind your own buisness you should be okay I think haha yah right NOTTT.

A great company to work for. Good management, great benefits. Multicultural workplace; met lots of people from differing backgrounds. The hardest part of the job would be standing on your feet for 12 hour shifts. Most enjoyable part of the job was doing multiple setups throughout the day.

Nice people to work in Westech Building Products. Very helpful and appreciated for your work environment. Just wished there is some opportunity to advancement in the company as you don't see any full time hiring even after working long time for company

I also loved working here as well, it was only a 2 week downstream project. I worked as a maintenance technician and helped install 2 brand new assembly lines on the floor. It was also continental shifts long 12 hour days but 3 day weekends absolutely loved it. The 2 weeks was up and they did not need me anymore.

I only worked for a year with this company and I can't really give a fair review. From what I remember working in this company, the employees were great. Everyone worked as a team. I enjoyed the short time I work there.

Loved working here but salary wasn't what i expected. I was doubling the labour of all other oil/tire techs and when I asked for a raise the supervisor looked at me as if I'm stupid for asking him that, therefore I quit right there and than.

Nice place to work with good manager.  Well managed and great team work.  Enjoyed working with the accounting manager there.  Left because work load was not sufficient or challenging for my level of experience.

Professional busy and productive.The best part of the job was the people I worked with and the friendships I developed over the years.
